I would do the Village especially if you are moving alone. Very nice complex and mostly young professionals so would be a lot easier to meet people

Lower Greenville/M Streets area. You should be able to find some deals the farther east you go until you get to Lakewood area. I’d start my search at abrams/skill man and work your way south. I used to live on McMillan and paid 800 for a nice 1 br condo, but that was over 10 years ago although it seemed like yesterday.

I lived in uptown in my 20’s (this was the late 90’s.. I’m old). Best time of my life. I think it’s only gotten better since then.

Check out the MAA apartments site. Should have units around your budget in Dallas. Close to if not in downtown too.

I had a 2bdr/2ba loft at Dallas Power and Light that overlooked the pool/bar area. Great spot for a straight single guy

And yet my property values continue to sky rocket. Democrats have been good for my bottom line.

Only the try hard 20 something idiots that barely get by in Dallas proper. Once they grow up they end up moving to the burbs. Unfortunately, some never do mature and stagnate.

That’s awesome.

Being from south Louisiana it’s still kind of weird to me people live in big buildings like that. I’ve always loved in houses or small apartment complexes. When I look at tall buildings I immediately just think it’s office space, not where people live . There was constantly sooo many people walking around it felt like move in day at a dorm

If you're working downtown I would suggest finding a place within walking distance of the DART Rail Red/Orange Line. Traffic is bad heading into downtown in the morning and out in the afternoon just like any other major city, except worse.

Nobody actually takes the dart in Dallas.

Live in uptown or lower Greenville if you want to have the most fun post grad. Downtown Dallas is a dump.

Kid who works for me moved into the Henderson on Belmont. Right between lower G and Knox/Henderson. Can’t really beat that spot for a 24 year old.

Think he got in for 1400-1600.

You’ll save money towards Lakewood, it’s nice, but you’ll be taking a lot of Ubers/missing out on walking to bars.

Village/Lakewood area would be better for someone 26-30 that can’t afford a house yet. 24-26 you want to be “in it”. If it were me at least.

Live in North Lakewood and I’m 34 fwiw.

Yeah I guess that’s my dilemma. Is it worth the extra few hundred dollars a month to be 15 minutes closer to downtown..

If you’re someone that likes to get out, you’ll save that 100-200 in Ubers every weekend. Being able to walk to Knox Henderson and lower Greenville is most ideal.

That being said, Dallas traffic isn’t THAT bad. I’ve lived in LA and spent a lot of time in ATL and it’s nothing compared to those. Likewise vs Houston.

It’s pretty easy to work around when you figure out the two bad windows in the morning and late afternoon.

You’ll have a great time being a young professional here.

that's called inflation. you know, when money loses value and therefore everything costs more because the federal gov loves to print money to pay for all the theft schemes democrats have established over the years like welfare, medicaid, medicare, SS.

your property has the same value in gold as it would have 100 years ago, that's real value. you've been brainwashed to think those federal reserve notes mean something real. they are only worth what the Federal Reserve says they are.

My advice, go to a local strip club. Invite all the girls back to your place and party like a scene from Boogie Nights. JMHO

I’m telling you Lakewood flats. It’s at the garland/Gaston interchange. On the white rock trail, straight shot to downtown, good restaurants near by, very close to lowest Greenville and deep ellum. I lived there for a year when I moved to Dallas.

that's gonna be tough tbh. My daughter lives in Lower Greenville and pays 3300 a month. Grant you its gated and a very nice place.
