BATON ROUGE —- A portion of South River Rd. is closed at this time as officials respond to a double shooting.
It happened before 10:30pm on Sunday, May 7 between the U.S.S. Kidd and the River Center on River Rd. in Baton Rouge.
Early reports indicate a possible drive-by shooting with dozens of rounds fired. Shell casings are reported to be all over the roadway.

I remember when Mayor Kip Holden tried to bring businesses and social life to downtown.

I’m surprised they mustered that many units to the scene.
That has to be like half the force at this point.

He’s definitely correct, and I know for a fact, that fact is being suppressed
If the public in BR was aware of how many police were actually patrolling in BR, there would be a larger mass exodus

White Supremacy is definitely the problem here.

And not a single bit of pressure will be put on the mayor, her step and fetchit police chief, or any other local politician by the local media.
You’ll get a story about the lawn and garden show this weekend or a national story about reparations for black people in San Francisco.

They are approaching 200 officers short. I believe the allocation is mid to high 600s

Well how many are patrolling now compared to say, 5 years ago? And who’s suppressing the information?

Before we jump to conclusions, could it have been part of a WW2 re-enactment?

He tried and he succeeded for a little while.

If kip was able to still be mayor, a lot of this crap would not be happening. Especially downtown, Aka Kip-land
