What a glorious day! The state house of reps just got a major school reform bill out of committee and it's headed to the full house for a vote.
Fix problems with our terrible curiculum? Nope.
Invest more money in buildings and technology? Nah.
Hold shitty parents accoutable for kids actions? No.
Provide for additional teacher and staff resources? Of course not.
Create tougher consequences for discipline probmens? LOL.
But y'all... they are gonna make sure that a teacher calls Little Johnny by the name Little Johnny, even if he/she wants to be called Little Jane! And if a kid thinks he or she is sexually confused... well, ain't no school employees or trusted teachers or cousnelors going to be able to listen to them about it... they are on their own!
I just know this is what we need. Before long... we gonna have the number 1 school system in the country!!!!!

Now this is a melt.
In all seriousness though, how can you force parents to care? I agree there are other issues, but as a parent I would be incredibly pissed if a teacher went behind my back to counsel my student on gender shite.

A state known for legislating stupid shite goes ahead and legislates stupid shite. News at 10. You can thank GOP who doesn't understand what it means to be conservative and DNC who have pushed so hard the other way that the GOPs think its necessary.

I call my students what they want to be called unless it interferes with the learning environment. I will continue to do so.

They need to put the bad kids straight into Angola
The schools are bad because of the kids and you can’t fix that

The only legislation that would "fix" public schools from their current state would be to create "neighborhood schools", so that only kids within your neighborhood would go to school with your kids.
But, of course that is racist and will never occur.
In regards to the OP, my diocese passed a rule last year that you will be referred to as your birth sex pronoun, none of this bullshite where you get to create your own pronoun or get to be called whatever you want.
