I got word this morning that Brother Ray has passed away. He had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of his spine last year.

Prayers for the loss of a great man.

He was a wonderful man. Did not know him well, but every encounter was a pleasure. Genuinely caring and Christian in all the right ways.

Brother Ray Bulliard

Brother Ray Bulliard, FSC had been at Saint Paul's School for 45 years as a teacher and counselor, and 35 years as principal and president.

He would memorize the names and faces of each incoming class, shake their hands, and address them each by name when they arrived. A real stand-up man who led by example. I think he will be missed by many.

He was a great man and a hell of an Honors English teacher. I'm glad I got to speak with him in October last year before he stepped away. He never forgot a name.

Rise up O men of God.

Few administrators loved their school as much as Brother Ray loved St Pauls. Future students will have no idea what they are missing out on.

I was always hopeful he would still be around by the time my son got there. He was one of a kind to those privileged to know him. St. Pauls is a very special place and he is the reason.

Also, he undoubtably would want to be eulogized in the OT.

I think this is very true. SSA did not ever quite have the same spirit because it didn’t have an administrator like him.

I met him once and could tell he was Brother Ray before he said his name. Just one of those special people.

Yes very sad. My 3 boys went to St Pauls, great man.

I feel like the environment he created there has given my kids lifelong roots and deep friendships. He created brotherhood among those kids. He was a great leader.
