Corporate profits are at record levels, but sure, it's the people who are making minimum wage's fault. Lol. Contemporary conservatism is just finding anyway possible to blame poor people so the middle class can act vote contrary to their own interests.
This is some retarded level of thought, here.

Exactly. In a healthy economy, every single year we'd have record corporate profits

I remember when I could put down a 20 piece McNuggets box with hot mustard and a Dr. Pepper for $5

Don't act like Democrat vote buyers haven't considered this before.

I saw in places like Connecticut a Big Mac Meal was almost 17 dollars plus tax.

The working man has a case against the company man and the company man has a case against the banker.
Fractional reserve banking (loaning $900 on $100 deposits) is the money-creating problem. The dollar is becoming literally “worth less”

Don’t worry, prices always go down even though people were paying higher prices. Just ignore a lot of people are living outside of their means before and after the inflation started running rampant in this country.

It's amazing to me the Trump fans who refuse to look in the mirror and admit he put pressure on the bank to keep rates low and then printed trillions of dollars. He's no different than anyone who came before or after him.

Y'all fancy but I get it. Me and C know every casual restaurant we visit will cost $40-60 for the two of us. And we don't even drink alcohol with dinner.

Yea that's the kicker. I'm not even talking about fancy places. The alcohol is a complete ripoff eating out.
My heaviest consumption is well tequila so no need to call me Mr fancy pants

Prices are insane.
Last weekend I went to brunch at SoLou. Breakfish tacos, shrimp grits, two drinks and tip was $50.

Wife no pics and two little kids at Five Guys the other day was $40. And the stupid tipping thing when all they do is throw your food in a bag. You get your own drink from a computer and run your own credit card. Boys didn't even have drinks and split a grilled cheese. We just had one large fry amongst us. Forty. Dollars. And I was still hungry (I'm 6' 170).
You actually tip at places like that? Just because they give you the option doesn't mean you have to. You don't have a server and they are getting paid at least minimum wage so there is no need to tip.

Can we all admit that both have been shite? I am assuming some of these prices are still due to Covid (I think some places "temporarily" raised prices because they had to make up for what they lost during the pandemic, but people paid the prices and it didn't have an impact on the amount of customers so they kept them the same).

Are you talking about you specifically, or the country?
I don’t think the economy is the healthiest, but there are a whole lot of us out here who would never consider spending close to $200 on chocolate. I know it wasn’t you, it was your wife, but when people want to know how others make it, purchases like this are not typically in the equation.
