I spent $32.53 at Subway last weekend. I picked up a a tuna wrap for a co-worker and a grilled chicken wrap and a grilled chicken salad for myself. No sides or drinks.

2 kids meals and 2 adults.

$62

so 2 adults meals cost $18 each plus $2 drinks and 2 kids meals cost $8 each plus $2 drinks, and you think that high?

a regular meal at mcdonalds now costs $12

a poboy anywhere now costs $15

when was the last time you ate out 1990?

If you can't afford it, don't eat out anymore. If you meal prep once or twice a week, it will save you tons of money vs overpaying for shitty microwaved chain restaurant food.

always about $20 when I eat there

I just call eating out my one extravagance and let it go but I have also cut back a day or two a week.

I enjoy it less anyway.

I've already heard some people say that they won't be able to afford it when student loans come back

A glorious used car market is waiting just around the corner

Went there for the first time in forever a couple weeks ago and actually was shocked at how cheap McDonalds was. Happy meal and hot n spicy combo was under $10. Then I was shocked that I thought that was cheap

This was the McDonalds menu when I was in HS. $3.23 with tax got you a quarter pounder meal. I used to raid my dad's change bucket for 13 quarters pretty regularly

I don't know why I remember that but it was right around the time they created the numbered order system. I ate a lot of McDonald's in HS. I was skinny as hell too.

No way a family of 4 went, got full and paid $41. That means everything was $10 or less with drink, excluding tax.
