These might be the only food item I know of that somehow hasn’t gone up in price over the last three years. LOL

Agreed. Given the option between two shite sandwiches, Republicans are better to me.

Those prices now look like something out of the 1960's or 1970's but in reality they were probably a little over a decade ago.

To be fair, that's from like 1993 or so -30 years ago

Here’s what chaps my azz. I order a sweet tea. Check the bill $3.99 for a freakin sweat tea that probably costs less than 50 cents to make.

Sadly it cost way less than that. With the business model of restaurants, this is how they make money. The food mark up at a lot of places isn’t all that high after you factor in the overhead and stuff

Yeah, it's a $20 bill minimum to eat at the low end sit downs now. fricking sucks, but that's what happens when you print money like an addict and frick over businesses non-stop for three years.

There’s really not a whole lot of options for a sit down lunch around my office building for under $30 to include tax, and tip during the workweek. I used to enjoy a sit down lunch during the workweek, where it allowed me time to decompress, and simply be alone. I don’t do it anymore, maybe once or twice per month because of the current situation, where I’m thinking I could spend the money elsewhere. It’s aggravating.

A soft drink might cost a restaurant 25 cents and it's $2.25 for you. That and alcohol are some of the things that are hugely marked up.

I understand that y’all have an outstanding circumstance, but DD is generally so ridiculous that I laugh at idiots who would spend $25 on a McD’s combo.

Are you trying to convince us that inflation isn’t real?

Not at all. I know inflation is real and it’s a bitch. I hate going into the grocery store and getting food at restaurants due to the prices.
Crawfish prices aren’t abnormally high right now though, and it’s kind of a luxury item anyway.

The grab and go rotisserie chicken at the local grocery store is literally the same price as it was 5 years ago.

$6.99

While everything else is going up somehow this item is not.

I stopped eating out for lunch the 1st week of February.

When going to get a Greek plate and a drink was $18+…….

I figured I was spending $80-$90 week on lunch and the portions were getting smaller and smaller (and the tip expected on everything)
