I dont know how to miss her less or cope. I'm angry that I can't sleep no matter what I do. I don't know how many days it is now. I can't focus and I'm scared to go to a hospital and get look at like I'm crazy, then deal with whatever they choose to do. I'm thinking about staying at a hotel tonight just to get away. I don't get how people with chronic insomnia deal with it at all. This shite is horrible.

They deal with it by going to a doctor or hospital and getting help. Get help, please.

Agreed and sorry about your sister.

I don't always get a full nights sleep but my body and mind don't function well on less than 6 hrs anymore. Maybe for 1 night but not multiple in a row

Lack of sleep can mess with you

Going to a hotel isn’t a bad idea. A change of scenery can def help but it’s not a final solution in helping you cope. When my mom unexpectedly passed, I sought out a counselor. That actually helped me out a ton and I was able to properly grieve and cope. I suggest you do the same. Best of luck my friend.

Do you have a PCP?
If so, talk to them

There are also a lot of counselors & therapists that do tele-health now
You need to talk to someone

Only time can heal the pain caused by the loss of a loved one. In the short term, if you are having severe insomnia you should seek medical attention immediately. Sometimes you just need to let your emotions consume you and cry.

I've been dealing with death it seems for decades now so I seem to just roll with the punches generally. But my brother died unexpectedly late last year and it did throw me for a bit of a loop, though it was a few weeks later that it hit me.

See someone, a grief counselor is a good start, if your sister was in hospice care, they likely have someone on staff or someone they recommend. As for insomnia, perhaps a hotel would help, also I find two Benadryl usually works wonders for me but sometimes I wake back up right at the 4-hour mark, If the timing allows, I will take another dose to get the next 4. Just limit that to the occasional thing.

My condolences. I would suggest that when you think of your sister, try to remember happy times together and think good thoughts about her.

I'm sure your sister would feel happy to know you loved her and miss her, but would also want for you to be happy as your life on earth continues. Don't feel bad seeking help or worry about what people think about you. Grief is hard and comes on sometimes when we don't expect. Go easy on yourself, find a professional competent to help you, and let them. If the situation was reversed, I'm sure you would want her to find peace and have a great life.

Maybe find a grief counselor--someone to talk to.
So sorry!

I’m so sorry man.
Small groups. Find some local small groups that you can attend. You don’t have to say a word. Just go and listen to what others have to say that have been in similar situations.

Also, pray. Tell God what you are feeling. Anger and all. Ask Him for help. He will 100% help you. Take my word for it.

What city are you in?
I only ask because we could help you find some small groups.

My organs hurt. Everything fricking hurts and I wish to God this shite had never happened. I had my life together. In the span of 7 days my sister dies, I lose my shite and can't focus enough at work and run out of time on my probationary period and they fire me. I don't know how to be patient and let time heal this shite when it's fricking destroying everything
