They were delicious.
Exactly half were full of eggs.

Are you bragging, trying to get a rise out of people for keeping pregnant fish, or what? Catching 10 bass in what I'm sure is a stocked pond this time year is hardly any sort of feat..

Last Sat I caught close to 30 out of my lake. It’s way over populated so I cleaned them and brought them home.
This is North MS and I was shocked to see that some had eggs.

Water was 70deg where I fished yesterday, spawn patterns produced nothing, we found them running bait and looking spawned out. Weird year for sure.

At Lake Texoma on Saturday the water temp was around 47. But the fish are in a weird pattern. One day it's 80 out and then the next day 40.
The striper are mainly saying close to the bottom in 60' of water.

Water was 74* in flat lake Saturday morning. Pulled one big fat sow off of a cypress tree and she was about ready to pop.
Very lethargic bite and either black water or chocolate milk everywhere. Was a tough day. I think if we would have found good water we could have caught some.

Skunked yesterday in NC
Water 61 degrees.
Tried minnows at 12 feet for crappie and they aren’t up yet.

7 bites, caught 5 on Caddo in about 4 hours yesterday.
Water was anywhere from 61 to 63.5 degrees. Should have been bustling with spawning activity, but most fish were just cruising shallow. Only saw 1 fish on a bed.
No idea on eggs. 2 unders and 3 slot fish. All released.

They had a tournament on Bruin yesterday. Watched some hand catch 3 in about 6 casts around my pier in 6" of water. All were ~2lb males. He said he had probably caught 40 fish, all 1-2 lb buck bass in a foot or less of water. He estimated his 5 fish to be about 12lbs. I should have fished but decided to go suck at golf. Fml

Been doing pretty good in North Louisiana throwing umbrella rigs.

I was throwing senkos and had the most action ripping them through the shallows.
Nothing like some fresh bass fillets straight from the skillet.

I caught a few Tuesday. They seemed to be staging to spawn. We're not up in the cutt grass but staged off any little structure off the bank.
The spawn is south LA is always wierd because it never really gets cold enough to keep them back. They can have so many mini waves for months you never really have a full same time spawn where a mass of big fish move in at once. All about luck and timing.

I caught 9 on Saturday. Only two had eggs in them. Caught them shallow.
ETA: caught them on a lizard, most hit almost as soon as it came off of the bank.

Kept 17 out of a buddy’s pond Saturday and fried them up last night. About half had eggs those fried up nice too. Hard to beat some fresh fried green trout

The title Led me to believe there was something worth reading. The contents revealed it was not.
