Well the Darlings daughter got married to a guy in the army during the first few Seasons. But what a simpler time….

You had that married couple who always fought and broke dishes. Andy tried making them be nice to each other (Mornin' dear. Mornin' honey.), but that made them legitimately miserable. Turns out that they were perfectly happy fighting all the time.

Charlene Darling was married to Dud Wash. Though she still tried to throw that booger on Andy when Dud went off to serve his country over seas.

I actually go to Mount Airy, NC about three or four times a year. Small, quiet, and quaint. They also have a couple nice beer joints.

Minnie Simpson and Karen Moore were by far the best two out of the whole bunch. Karen was also a skeet shooting champion from Arkansas.

In the first season, Andy dates a nurse. Probably the hottest girlfriend he had. She had her career, her own house, and wanted nothing more than to take care of Andy and Opie.
And Andy fricked it up. Marry her, show over.
