Obviously not at a restaurant. I mean like cafeteria soup you get at lunch. Also, it obviously depends on the type of soup. Let’s just go with a basic broth for this.

I’m a bit torn though to be honest. On the one hand, why not? On the other hand, it is not the societal norm.

Sure. Why not?

Spaghettios or ABC vegetable beef? I don't think so.

I drink Asian soups from a cup. Both hands around it like a refugee seeking nourishment.

As long as it's not chunky soup, sipping out of a cup of is valid. They even make sipping broths.

I think it would be weirder to eat plain broth with a spoon. That would take forever

I say yes but my judgement may be questionable. I eat my snickers with a fork and knife.

At home I always put my soup in one of those quart containers you get with Chinese takeout. Use a spoon to eat the contents, then drink from the container like it’s a drink.

Yes it is. Soup on the go is an awesome overlooked meal option.

Makes me think I should start a quick serve restaurant with a drive through offering this option….

Never been a fan, but my wife and kids are. Bowl with the proper spoon for me.

Officially we have a don't ask, don't tell soup consumption policy. Although they do expect to hear me mumble heathen under my breath as they walk past me drinking their soup.

I have drank the last of the broth of pho from the bowl. I don't care if it was in public; it is delicious and not to be wasted.
