New Orleans is worth fighting for

It’s worth saving.
Mardi Gras has been phenomenal this year.
All people.
All walks of life.
All colors
All creeds
All codes
Partying together in harmony.
There’s no need to be miserable and divided everyday.

And how would you start this battle to save it?

Stop making threads about Mardi Gras. No one cares that much

It absolutely 100% is not.

If you can't say something nice, right?
As Pops Midnight (RIP) used to say, "There is nothing wrong with New Orleans that a hydrogen bomb can't fix."

I’ll be a conscientious objector in this battle

Will you be patrolling in the East or Central City?

I agree that when NOLA is not shooting it’s own citizens there can be a lot of fun to be had there.
But, they will never do what’s necessary to keep that from happening. So no it’s not worth the fight. Cut bait.

I found myself thinking today that I am not sure what I love more… shitting on the city or going to the city for special events.
When it’s good, it’s great. I agree with OP.

Well, if you go to war against the people ruining New Orleans, the media will label you the worst ever.
The corruption and graft is just too much.

Well, that's a little extreme. You'd definitely want to save the river bridges and dilapidated port facilities. I think a Reagan Era Neutron Bomb would be more appropriate.

Sorry, NO has incurable demographics and societal cancer, she is a dead man walking like many other major metros.
Done, Fini, next subject.

There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about moving back to New Orleans, Mardi Gras makes that feeling even stronger.
But then I remember how everything I ever left outside got stolen, how leaving a door unlocked was automatic ruffling through the car, how I could barely tow my boat in and out. I don't know, I miss that city so bad but at the same time I know my life is so much less stressful living outside of it.
I don't know what the solution is for that city, it's cursed by the fact that the great parts of it are also the worst parts. Because of that, it will probably never change. But all that said, anyone who tries to downplay Mardi Gras just doesn't understand what an absolute gem it is for the world much less our state.

Man there are just some absolutely triggered angry and miserable people on this board.
Maybe go outside and enjoy the world. Some of y’all need happiness in the worst way.
