I actually stole that line from you in a thread from last night or maybe the night before where GreenRock was also defending NO and shitting on BR.

I always love a good thread supporting New Orleans. They're hilarious to read.

People who don't visit or live there seem to have the strongest opinions.

It's even better when people from BR shite on NO. I'm from BR, but we have no room to shite on any city. That said, I also do love a good midget fight.

I agree it is worth fighting for. But I won’t be the one fighting.

NOLA needs to survive on its own. Like I heard once before…NOLA is like a rebellious teenager. Trying it’s best to not confirm.

I just finished watching a movie with Steve McQueen a few mins ago. Kind of ironic, don't ya think?

I don't know the name but it was with him and Faye Dunaway. Decent movie.

Naw

I just know what New Orleans is, and where it is going.

I'm not angry, I can honestly live my whole live without New Orleans.

I really want to leave NOLA….so many bad things but I am stuck for the next 10 years or so. With that said, today at 3rd and St Charles did something for me, it was perfect (now I left at 5pm, so who know how it is now), it was just perfect. It restored my faith in the city, so many amazing people and visitors who want to take in this place.

Methinks it is best to shite on both BTR and MSY from afar. I left LA because of Louisiana voters. MSY is worse than most, like ATL, but the entire state can take a dive.

LSU has been mentioning the flight of grads to ATL, Texas, DC, and California for decades. And yet ... Yeah, jack shite changes.

It certainly is. New Orleans is the most unique city in the country. America needs a vibrant Nola.

One can say that about a bunch of US cities. For those retired or raising children, I can understand avoiding.

But there are great times to be had for the single guy or young married couple. If you of age and can’t have fun at Mardi Gras or Jazz Fest, that’s a YOU problem.

Nappy there is no place better in the city to watch the parades than 3rd and St. Charles. It was a chamber of commerce weekend. Maybe a critical mass of folks will start trying harder to change a few things. What needs to happen:

1. Recall Latoya
2. Enforce the law.
3. Elect a governor who has the courage to call a spade a spade.
4. Elect a mayor who will hire a chief of police who will enforce the law.
5. Elect a DA who will prosecute the criminals.

The success of New Orleans is critical to the success of LA. We lose NO we lose LA.

Tall order but common sense really.

Neither did BR

The funny part about that exchange is that Nola was the murder capital of the country 30 years ago. It had like twice the homicide rate of the #2 city
