Dead woman walking

Nawlins is a shithole with nice hotels and restaurants. But I do admit lunch at Deanies and catching the Eagles at SK Center, the best day of fun I've had the last few months.

Right now I absolutely do. This is my favorite place on earth and I can’t stand what’s happening to it. This city is unbelievably special.

There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about moving back to New Orleans, Mardi Gras makes that feeling even stronger.

But then I remember how everything I ever left outside got stolen, how leaving a door unlocked was automatic ruffling through the car, how I could barely tow my boat in and out.

When and where did you live there?

I don’t go back bc it’s not the NOLA I remember, and that breaks my heart now. I used to have hope, but when the powers at be put in an ignorant Californian grifter as mayor - it sours the milk

Thought so when I moved there.

Almost not worth visiting except for the friends who stuck around now.

I’m actively involved in multiple local charity outreach programs and a community activist group for NOLA. I love this place. It’s home. And there’s nothing like it anywhere else.

What are you doing?
