12 kids at McD's would make about $120. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Farmers are getting $2.50 out the field for field run crawfish which are considered big-medium crawfish. That’s actually $0.18 less than the historical avg the last 10 years for this week. So the past 10 years for beginning of February the Avg per pound has been $2.68lb given all the inflation on everything I’d say y’all are getting a good deal on crawfish

You are buying at the wrong place.

This is how we did it back in the day. Heck, I still have a dozen nets, so my cost would be limited to melt and gas for the car.

Since the dawn of social media, middle aged women in Louisiana have decided to start craving crawfish immediately after New Years.

Drop your trap in the morning, come back in the evening. Used to do it all the time as kids.
