Anyone in the know? $3.99/lb LIVE where I usually pick them up in Baton Rouge. Not paying $120 for a sack of crawdads

Too much rain or not enough.
Too warm or too cold.
Maybe too cloudy.

They're expensive, just like everything else. Also it's still the beginning of February.

The prices of everything have gone up and people keep buying. We are screwed.

I won’t, believe dat brother. I am itching for some though so when do we expect prices to fall to something somewhat reasonable?

Because it’s the beginning of February you dumbass. Prices are always high at this time.
If you want cheap crawfish, buy them after Easter

Crawfish are one of the volatiles excluded from the core inflation index.

Short term..... That pendelum about to swing back hard! Don't know if you heard, but the FED raised rates again this week. People are just spending money they don't have, and those chickens come home to roost sooner or later.

You need to trust the science and wait at least two more weeks to flatten the curve

If you don’t mind moccasins, there’s several places right off I10. However, it’s a lot of work to get enough for a boil.

I definitely don't cook them as much as I used to because of the price. I boil maybe twice a year. It's crazy how something that seemed so enjoyable really could stop once the prices got stupid.
