Maybe. More likely is AA knows that since Romo rapidly became popular there will be plenty of people who will click on articles that shite on him b/c for whatever reason this country looooves to tear down anything that becomes too popular too quickly,

Lot of people think Brady never makes it to the booth and backs out. I'm sure we will see Brady alongside his pal Gronk on Fox pregame in less than two weeks.

I know that’s a shite ton of money, even for a guy as loaded as Brady, but I actually think he’ll wait at least a year. I’m not sure he could—or would want to—handle being so close to the game without actually playing in it. I think next year might be too raw. And it’s not like he’ll be in any less demand the next year or the year after.

I think he might go away for a while and kinda re-invent himself. Probably still do the podcast and the TB12 stuff, but I’m not sure how visible he’ll be to the casuals who aren’t just seeking out his social media content. I think he’s dealing with some existential/mid-life crisis stuff and is gonna take some time to figure out his next chapter.

And he’s pretty milquetoast, and I’m not sure he’ll be able—or maybe want—to deal with the inevitable criticism that will come with his 1st year in the booth. He’s not gonna just come out his 1st year throwing haymakers, being considered the best in the biz right off the bat. And I think that will be difficult for him. It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if he never calls a game.

Olsen was obviously a rookie but he seems like he could be really good with more experience.

He doesn’t have tons of experience, but 2022 was his second full season working with Kevin Burkhardt. He started preparing for a post-playing career as an analyst/commentator while he was still an active NFL player.

Brady has always seemed kinda dull in his press conferences so my guess is that he'll be another Brees but we'll see.
I’ve liked Brady when he was being interviewed for Westwood during mnf coverage. I could see him being fine. Idk if I’d throw him in the deep end off the bat though

It’s not weird hate of Romo…it’s finally people realizing he is a hack and has been since his first season.
He does nothing to prepare, he offers no useful info that anyone watching can use…his weird noises and saying Jim 50 times a game is awful.
He got popular because he could predict plays his first 2 seasons because he had just retired…as the game changed and he did no research, he could no longer predict plays so his one trick was lost.
I can’t believe it’s taken people this long to realize how bad he is…

How can anyone be expected to live, raise a family and have any sort of life on $3m/yr?????? Hopefully someone will start a "Go Fund Me" account for him so he doesn't have any hardships.

I never liked Romo in the booth, but he has gotten worse this season IMO.

He was pretty good when doing bits with Westwood One while he was suspended.

I only caught bits and pieces of the pregame, but Gronk surpised me and seemed really good.

Any chance those 2 end up in a booth together?

For a main broadcast (not something like Manningcast), neither is qualified for the play-by-play role, and three is too many in the booth.

Im sure I'll get downvoted but I can't stand Brady's voice. He reminds me of the actor Josh Duhamel in that he's good looking and has a physical charisma, but once he opens his mouth I kind of cringe
