Not too long ago we were sweating in short sleeves, now it’s arctic temps. This bowl rarely catches a break on weather.

Every year I tell myself I'm going to go while I'm back home for Christmas, then it ends up being the worst possible weather. Not worth it.

So crazy how football changes from normal college games to bowls and the NFL…temps and weather wise.

My son kicked at camp this weekend and it was 32 degrees and windy AF. It’s a completely different endeavor. Impossible to warm up or get into a groove. I feel for the SEC kickers who go pro and immediately have to kick in a blizzard. That is not the same thing as they grew up doing.

Back before there were a zillion bowls. The independence bowl got big 12 vs sec a lot of years. Good geographically in regards to getting fans in the stands.

My skinny 7 year old arse was at that game. First time I'd ever seen snow.

I was also at the 1997 game against Notre Dame when it was 40 degrees and raining. I believe dad took me and my two older brothers to the game, the oldest one would've been 7 at that time. Needless to say, we did not last very long in that one.

I always wait to see what the weather is going to do. I don’t think I’m sitting in that windy stadium at 20 degrees.

This time of year is always shitty weather wise in this area. It’s that god awful biting wet cold. Truly a miserable experience.

That may have been my favorite game to attend. On top of the wild visual and the teams scoring at will, every time it would start snowing harder the everyone in the stadium would cheer. It was so bizarre

Sounds like getting invited to that bowl game is more of a punishment than a reward. Kind of like that bowl in Boise in late December. Screw that

We were at a resaurant eating for New Year's Eve 1999. And I saw a game on the tv that looked like a blizzard, I just assumed it was in Michigan or somewhere. Then I saw the across the screen it was Shreveport. Holy shite that was some snow!

there have been more weather games at the Indy bowl than nice days.....it is a weird phenomenon honestly.
