Saw a guy in a suit with cowboy boots….. in New Orleans.

Rode the elevator with him at my building. Nice suit, nice boots. First thing I’m thinking is maybe he’s from Texas.
I grew up in Shreveport. Cowboy boots were commonly matched with dressy clothing (moreso in the 80’s than now) up there, and you saw it all the time. Not down here though. You almost never see cowboy boots, much less a cowboy hat.
Do any of you baws rock the Tony Lamas with your Sunday best?

Legit op question but the OT will roast you for "worrying about what other men wear." This board is sensitive to that unless it's cargo shorts. They hate those.

Texan city slickers and suburbanite office workers doing the cowboy boots with a suit thing is hilarious

Really depends on the cut of the pant/boot style.

Um this is common. Half the guys in my office own at least one pair of boots and wear them on occasion with a suit.

Instead of striking up a conversation, you went beta and stared at the wall just waiting until you could have the chance to post this here.

Lots of boots look good with suits. Some you wouldn’t even know that the person was wearing boots.

Shrimp boots are the only ones acceptable with any outfit.

lots of funny looking styles out there, and the one quoted above is far from the worst I've seen in an office setting.

I don’t own dress shoes, but I like nice boots, and I don’t wear suits often so yeah when I have to wear a suit I typically will have a pair of boots on.
It would be more strange if you ran into someone wearing pearl snaps and horsebits imo.
