I just think it’s a weird front to pretend to be a cowboy. I grew up on rural farmland, and I don’t even wear cowboy boots/hats, because I’m not a cowboy

Do you think anyone wearing athletic shoes is an athlete?

Wearing chucks are a 1950's basketball player?

Girls wearing Uggs are Australian farmers?

Just a style.

Probably lives in Katy but grew up in Kalamazoo. The transplants from the complete opposite ends of the country (geographically and culturally) often try to overcompensate.

Admire the hustle. You don’t usually break elephant boots in, they break you in.

Several times earlier this year on our place in OK. Of course, I've got a 33,000 acre place I manage about an hour away from me here in TX that hasn't had a horse on it in over 35 years. We do everything by UTV/ATV or helicopter.

Try again baw.

I was born and raised in ag (and have worked in it my entire life) and have never seen or heard the term "cattle farm" until your post. But go ahead and talk down to others here if it makes you feel better.

Hear cattle farm in South La more than you hear ranch.

At least it seems so in my experience.

Appreciate the heads up. I've not managed any working cattle operations in LA so that certainly explains my unfamiliar nature of the term.

If you polled 1000 people who wear cowboy boots, do you think you would be the exception or the rule?

In many cases the f150 has replaced the car for cowboys.

If that triggers you, wait until you see someone in the hospital with boots and scrubs (quite common).
