I think someone needs to do an action drama series with famous pirates like Blackbeard, Bartholomew Roberts, Anne Bonny, etc. Think along the lines in the style of Deadwood, Boardwalk Empire, Sopranos. Crime/Action drama with great dialogue and a touch of comedy. Lot of material there and needs to be an HBO series so it can be unrestricted and real with vulgarity, whores, violence, etc.

No not like Pirates of the Caribbean. Something more realistic.

You should checkout Black Sails, it is basically exactly what you listed out.

Id like to see a premium network like HBO or Netflix do a Highlander series.

10 episodes a season, very gritty and brutal.

I'd like to see HBO take a crack at some historical non-fiction epics. Preferably something new (Edward Rutherford's New York perhaps).

But I'd be down for a high end remake of Winds of War/War and Remembrance

V for Vendetta. The movie was decent, but there’s enough material in the graphic novel for a season or two.

A show about a pro wrestling promotion covering from the hay day of the territories, to consolidation of promotions to make bigger companies, and finally to pro wrestling becoming the world wide pop culture phenomenon it was in the 80s and 90s but have it focus on more of the front office, creative meetings, and backstage booker stuff. Done more like Mad Men.

You could call it Amsterdam because that's what they have. Don't think they make arrests of drug dealers anymore.

Red Rising. Great sci-fi book series if you haven’t heard of it.

I want a prequel series of From Dusk Till Dawn (1996).

It would be about the Gecko brothers robing, stealing, carousing. and driving fast 60's & 70's muscle cars. Half of each episode could be planning heists while staying half a step in front of recently bedded hot young chicks, and Johnny Law. Kind of a gritter, modern, set in the 80's or 90's, mix of Casablanca, Sons of Anarchy, Justified and Ozark.

Don't think it needs any vampires, but a Salma Hayek lookalike would be great. They could own a tattoo parlor/bar/gas station, where other wicked characters could hang out with them. I doubt Clooney, Tarantino & Hayek would be available, so you'd need to go with some younger no name actors.

I’ve said it before: a R rated HBO or the like version of the Elric of Melnibone’ series by Michael Moorcock.

Tom Hiddleston was born to play Elric.

1. Likes Pirates
2. Never heard of Black Sails.

I think you'll like it.

There are plenty of real life stories that could be made into a series, but I don't want any of them done in this period of woke Hollywood.
