Have two kids in preschool and it’s like every winter from Thanksgiving straight through to February one of the kids is sick with a cold and my wife and I end up catching most of them. Is this normal or do we need to get our immunities checked? Was semi joking with my wife that I should just spend the winter in our cabin to avoid getting sick.

Welcome to parenting kids in daycare. Just pray it stays colds and not gut-busting stomach bugs.

Your kid probably caught it from that little shite that threw the metal cup at him. I'd consider legal action if I were you.

Daycares are biological warfare research centers run by the Feds.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We learned that the kid actually was trying to throw a bottle over a table and my son was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, still sucks but the intent wasn’t quite as malicious as was first thought.

They are germ machines at that age...but don't worry, it'll get better in about 10 years.

Welcome to having kids. There is a lot that you will get from your kids. I loved having kids but until around jr. high I think I caught every sickness that a kid could bring home. And I wouldn’t change it for the world.

It's always been a tough sled, but this year is unbearable for many thanks to the two years of isolation and the bugs evolving to be more contagious as a result.

It’s been a few years, but I remember only about a 40% transmission rate. Kids were sick most of the winter with at least a runny nose and sniffles, but the wife and I avoided most, but not all, of their afflictions.

Immune systems, they are important. Don't be so weak.

My wife has taught kindergarten for 40 years, we each get sick maybe once every 2 to 3 years and mostly just 24 hours.

Kid in preschool. I have been sick with serious colds since September.

Covid 19 is a bunch of BS. Whatever this cold/cough coming out of every preschool is the real deal. It's frickin terrible.

I've been sick more since my kid has been in preschool than the 20+ years before combined.
