Car salesman can all suck my dick. Leave me alone and let me look....
Wait, there's no frickin cars on the lot, I'll just order one.
Nope, Price Leblanc has 1 car on the lot. One. Also, Lexus wont allow you to order a car. Incredible. I can not order a fricking car from Lexus, so lets hop over to the Genesis dealership, where they add 20% ON TOP of the MSRP and try to gaslight the frick out of you explaining costs have gone up. No bitch, if costs went up, the MSRP would go up.
Ive never been more frustrated trying to buy a vehicle.
frick all this crap.
How does anyone buy a vehicle anymore? It used to be easy, now I'd rather have a prostate exam.

Maybe find the car you want first, then start dialing. May help with driving to lots.

Bought a car from Price Leblanc in April. Go see Sean Dardeau. He’ll take care of you. Get you a car quick.

You mean to say you don’t like being on the wrong end of supply and demand being out of wack?
Find a lot with more vehicles.

I bought a truck in April 2021, right when things were crazy on the supply/demand front.
Managed to find exactly what I wanted just below MSRP but had to take a trip to Houston to get it.
Deals should be even more prevalent now with rates going up and the market cooling.

I feel like knowing how to buy cars is an art.

Japanese car companies have always been basically impossible to order from. The dealer can grab a car in transit or in the queue to be built but "custom" orders are just not the way they work. German and Euro in general are a whole different animal with a significant number of cars being built to order. US manufacturers are somewhere in between.
One thing to note is Japanese companies have very short option lists which most options in packages. German cars usually have long option lists that allow many more options to be a la cart. Limited options keep prices down, and limiting or eliminating "custom" orders keeps prices down.

I came on here to bitch about this very same thing last week.
Had an absolutely horrible buying experience here in Houston at a Honda dealership. The douchebag sales guy would not let us test drive a car if we weren’t willing to buy that exact car off of his lot.
It wasn’t even the color or the exact model we wanted.
I was like, ain’t no way I’m gonna give you $30,000 without test driving the fricking car
WTF?

Lexus doesn’t allow to order? Huh
I literally ordered my IS. Surely things haven’t changed that bad since 2021?!!!!

I sold cars at one point in my life and it was a miserable existence.
Never take a trade-in to a dealership. That's when you lose all of your leverage and the voodoo and funny stuff kicks in. Sell it yourself and then just use whatever you make of the sale towards the down payment.
Be careful with the Finance & Insurance manager. He's usually the craftiest and slickest person on the lot.

Order your car and work out the details before it even arrives.
