Bowsights for bad eyes?

I wear contacts and have noticed over the past couple of years that in anything other than perfect daylight I can't really see anything past my sight pins. Just missed an opportunity at a buck because at 35 yards I couldn't see him once I was looking through my peep. It seems like it's getting worse. This is the second time on this trip that it's happened.
Currently shooting a Trophy Ridge React. Just cut the fiber optics on it and it seems like it's helped a little bit. Anybody here deal with something like this before?
It's like the deer dissolves in to the background when looking through the sight. Been bowinghunting for 18 years and this is a recent development.
Eta: same problem with an HHA Optimizer

Maybe try a magnifier in your peep?

EzVee….. you will raise some eyebrows and catch some shite but I’m here to tell you…. The damn thing just works

Ordered one yesterday, hopefully it does. I cut the fiber optics on my sight and it seems to have helped. Anything past 15 yards has to be high contrast as all hell.

I have the same issue (my right eye is damaged due to a fishing accident).
I've thought about the EzVee for awhile. I might give it a shot eventually.
But generally I just don't shoot past 30 yards, which typically isn't an issue where I hunt in LA, but its probably going to burn me in MO eventually.

I practice out to 50 and 60, first shot on a deer was 37 a few years ago. This buck was at about 35 and I couldn't do shite. He was about 130", would have been one of my biggest.
Just took a practice shot at a white leaf with a small game tip I keep in my quiver. Smoked it at 40.

How is the movement up there this week?
I'm still bitter about how bad last week was

Go get your eyes checked by an Ophthalmologist. Seriously. The full story is way to long, but mine caught something well before it could get any worse.

I've seen deer every hunt but it's all been early or late. I'm leaving Friday right when the temp is dropping, kind of pissy about that. Seen a few bucks chasing but i don't think they're wide open yet.
I should be tagged out by now but I'm better at finding deer than shooting them.

There could be several things to cause and help. I struggle with this too. Hit me about 3 years ago.
I recently had glasses made for bow hunting. They help but are not a 100 percent solution. You get your prescription then you have the lenses yellow tinted to amplify light.
I find adding a very small amount of light on my pins helps. Too much and you'll have issues, it's got to be the slightest amount to illuminate the pins, just enough to see with a naked eye. I shoot Spott hogg grinders and they have a small screw light that attaches to the sight, uses 1 hearing aid battery.
Also I would consider changing peep size too, it may help. I went to a larger peep and thinner sight housing to facilitate a clearer sight picture. Im not knocking that ez sight, I've heard people like it, my pins are mental for me at this point, would be a tough adjustment.
Here is where it really sucks. Ive developed a cross eye dominance. While I used to always shoot with both eyes open, I'm having to close one eye to get the sight picture lined up and make an accurate shot. The solution is to patch one eye for 3-4 months to correct this. Shooting with one eye closed with child molester looking glasses is not as bad as having to patch my eye for 4 months at this time.

I see the eye doctor yearly. My next is coming up at the end of the month. I'll mention it.

There are lots of things to try:
larger peep (I recommend a 1/4" Hamskea Raptor Peep)
lens on sight housing
clarifier in peep
EZV Sight
Checking your prescription - Your shooting eye may have changed too much.
Shooting without contact in your shooting eye. You could be getting some overcorrection looking through your peep. A large peep could help this.

Are you a candidate for Lasik? Had it in February and probably best $$$ I've spent.

I’m left eye dominant and shoot a gun left hand but learned to shoot a bow right handed and never felt right trying to swap to left handed bow.
I struggled with peep sight focusing and the same issue of struggling with a peep. I swapped to a string splitter peep and it fixed it for me. It works like a peep just a lot bigger and you bracket the ring of your pin guard with the top of the spiller to ensure Constant anchor point.
In theory they are not as accurate as a small traditional peep but I can shoot pie plate at 50-60yd and Im not a competitive shooter.

Is that the big half triangle one?

Yeah it’s a large triangle that has a half circle at the bottom. You then just use the outline of the bottom to bracket the outline of your pin guard

A 1/4" peep will help with low light situations. I switched to a 1/4" peep for this exact reason and it has helped get a little extra light into my sight picture at dawn and dusk.

How old are you? Eyes do changes around 40 and up

I switched to a Hind Sight (peepless system) with a Black Gold sight last year and couldn’t be happier. Great for low light and should help with your vision issues.
I’m shooting more accurately than I ever did with a peep.
Killed an elk at over 70 yards with it this year, so it’s plenty accurate.
I would strongly recommend trying one. Perry’s no peep is a similar product that looks pretty good as well. I may put one of those on my back up now as a trial .
I would go see an ophthalmologist as well as the other guys said.
