Russell Wilson’s career is largely carried on the coattails of those elite defenses early in his career.
He did throw a game ending interception on the 1 yd line.

That Bonilla guy that still gets paid by the Mets

Can never forget Ditka trading the entire 1999 draft (and a first and a 3rd in the 2000 draft) for Ricky Williams who only played for the saints for 3 years. And he stayed out of shape most of his time there.
The sensationalism of “trading their whole draft for one player” caused a lot of hot takes against it at the time the deal was made. It subsequently gets brought up, but it’s really nowhere near the “worst” of all time.
Below is the list of the players selected with what the Saints gave up. There was an ESPN (?) article a few years back that actually went through the best potential players available at each pick (taken within 10 spots) the Saints could have taken that showed it still wasn’t bad.
Williams never became the star that was expected, but he did bring back two first rounders in a trade after three years which is fairly significant value.

The Texans trading DHop for David Johnson and a couple of draft picks will always be the worst trade of all time to me

That looks a little like the Herschel Walker trade.
Let’s see if Seattle can turn it into 3 Super Bowls.

Let's revisit this when they are 6-11 and Russ has a whole season to dissect.
Still too early?

Too soon?

Go down? Isn't it already?

Herschel Walker trade from Dallas to Minnesota is the worst of all time. Dallas built a Dynasty on that trade.
Dallas received:
LB Jesse Solomon
LB David Howard
CB Issiac Holt
DE Alex Stewart
Minnesota's 1st round pick in 1990
Minnesota's 2nd round pick in 1990
Minnesota's 6th round pick in 1990
Minnesota's 1st round pick in 1991 (conditional on cutting Solomon)
Minnesota's 2nd round pick in 1991 (conditional on cutting Howard)
Minnesota's 1st round pick in 1992 (conditional on cutting Holt)
Minnesota's 2nd round pick in 1992 (condition met by trading away Nelson)
Minnesota's 3rd round pick in 1992 (conditional on cutting Stewart)
The Vikings had originally assumed that they got the better end of the deal, not knowing at the time that head coach Jimmy Johnson was interested only in the draft picks and not the players. At a press conference after the trade, Johnson bragged that he committed "The Great Train Robbery," but was criticized by various sports writers such as Randy Galloway of The Dallas Morning News.
Johnson waived Stewart in November 1989, then told his coaches to not start Solomon, Howard or Holt, signaling to the rest of the league his intention to claim the draft picks. Vikings General Manager Mike Lynn eventually made another deal, letting the Cowboys keep the three players and all the conditional picks

Many Saints fans wanted him in NOLA and I couldn't understand why. He's been washed up for a few years now.
