So what's the law/rule that tells you that it's a no?

This is your time to prove him wrong. Do it. I'm open to being corrected but after all this time I've yet to see the actual law that proves your point 100%. Not talking about "precedent" or "it's never been done that way". But undeniable actual sign, sealed, delivered law that covers POTUS, not anyone else, that confirms your position.

Trump is 100% right. The president is head of the executive and can do what he wants.

I feel sorry for you that you have such mental illness and TDS and believe everything you read on the media.

Go back to DU where zero discussion of opposing thought is allowed

Look to your lower left. You should be able to find the 'shift' key for capitalizing the first word of each sentence.

Who is Igor Danchenko?

Fwiw in real life any top secret or sci materials being declassified must first be reviewed so as to get out our people to safety. the review happens in every such case. it can take months.
the special master noted there was not yet any evidence provided by team trump that something was in fact declassified.
the appeals court yesterday gave permission for doj to proceed to do their job with the secret documents.

Remember what the "experts" told us about the FISA court approval process? LoL.

How in the world did a bogus piss dossier become the legal basis for a secret FISA warrant against the future President of the United States? How did a foreigner with ties to the FSB become a paid confidential informant for the FBI AFTER they concluded the info he was providing was a lie? And why did the FBI keep using the known discredited info in subsequent FISA renewals for several years?

Who is Igor Danchenko?

Incorrect.

Unless the president does it. When he declassified something, it is immediately declassified.

quote:

Considering the president can declassify anything, the doj is going to have to prove a crime was committed and will need to prove he didn't declassify.

quote:

appeals court yesterday gave permission for doj to proceed to do their job with the secret documents.

And what does that have to do with anything? They had already looked at everything.

President can declassify anything he wants. There is no description of what the president should do to declassified.

The rules are he can declassify anything.

It's all moot.

FBI, Archives, and DNI had setup and then audited a SCIF that was that storeroom.

After a couple audits and once they verified SCIF contained classified, and de-classified, documents Biden withdrew his clearance thereby nullifying the SCIF and by default making that no longer a SCIF, hence he was improperly storing classified materials overnight with Biden's executive order.

It is a violation of security rules to reveal the presence or level of security clearance. Therefore they know Trump can not complain about that publicly.

Wrong. It happens in every case handled by anyone other than the President. All classification authority derives from the Office, as such the Office has ultimate say over what is/isn't classified/declassified. This has always been the case and it would take a Constitutional Amendment to change it.

Let me be clear on this, there is no law, statute nor policy which places any restrictions on a President in their classifying or declassifying of any information nor document. Feel free to find and post a link to any such law/statute/policy which you think counters this stance.

Trump repeated his claim without evidence that he declassified the documents

I've yet to see anyone present any plausible semblance of "evidence" that the papers in question were NOT declassified by Trump.

It's not even about that, anyway. It's "OMB" bread and circus for the media to run with and continue the gaslighting psyop of the sheeple of America, to convince them that muh Drumpf is evil and bad.

My favorite is to ask them what the protocol or process for a President is for declassifying documents. When their answer is anything other than "there isn't one" (which is the correct answer, by the way), I just laugh and laugh.

You mean like how democrats drowned in it when they howled Obama didn’t do anything wrong when he disclosed the classified number of nuclear weapons in the US arsenal?
