Westhaven in Franklin, TN
It's a bubble 45 minutes south of Nashville that is unreal (and unreal expensive)

Everyone takes golf carts to the grocery store and to drop kids off at school. It's like Seaside, FL but with great schools, no tourists, and not near a beach.

congratulations, you've solved the decades long baffling mystery of what town the Andy Griffith show was based on

Even Mayberry had a "back of town".

Nice area.
Everyone knows everyone in Mayberry. It's not a nice suburb outside of a big city. It's a more isolated small town with its own little economy.

I haven't been there in tears, but downtown Natchez, MS. always had a nice little hometown feel about it.

Ruston
Grew up there, government housing being built all over. Crime has gone up quite a bit from what I hear. I moved out 25 years ago

This is less of a suburb and more of a Truman Show bubble (which is seaside).
They have school, stores, doctors, dentists, etc. It’s a bubble within a bubble and is really far away from Nashville.

Bordelonville, LA
Born and raised there. If anyone's knows about it, they should agree.

Franklin is too rich to be Mayberry. Winchester is a better choice as mentioned above.

Yep. My aunt was from there, well, the post office was in Bordelonville, not their farm.

It still does, was there back in April. It's sad was happened to the downtown areas in the delta though, there was some serious potential there.

Barney was a small town cop and this was his beautiful craftsman house

Oxford, MS. I swear .. it's like freaking Mayberry.
If Mayberry was full of pharmacists and insurance agents who like to imagine wearing khakis and a button up shirt in the Grove turns them into some kind of plantation high society.

I know this was a joke, but it's not honestly far off, especially the downtown & cotton district areas.
