And anyone who thinks that's a bad thing is incorrect on many levels.

The goalposts can't move anymore.

"That running shite won't fly in the SEC".

Okay well it just did. To the tune of a 15 point win.

What's next ?

All I see is a guy who is annoying as frick to other teams due to his ability to just go grab a 1st down by taking off.

Hurts sucks and really held Alabama back in 2016 and 2017. Freshman Tua bailed him out in 2017. Those two seasons had some absolutely brutal offensive moments for Alabama.

Daniels can be a lot better than Hurts

If Jaylen can pick his spots better on when to run and get through his progressions he can be really good. He’s already shown that he can put the team on his back and lead them on a crucial drive, that he can take being coached and that he’s got a lot of poise. He’s got enough arm to make all the throws he needs to make too, just needs some fine tuning

Better potential comparison would be RGIII.

See your point, but Hurts is a giant. I'm not sure Jayden will make it through the season if he takes that many shots every week. However, to his credit, the times he didn't protect himself were big spots where he had to take the shot and he took every one and got right up.

We largely won that game in the 2nd half because of our running backs and JD finally started passing more, not because of JD running the ball.

Hurts is way more of a physical runner

I think ur right on every count

After the first 2 games, I felt like he could progress to a pass first guy, but those thoughts are gone now

Still the best option at this time, because he does protect the ball

And I do think when teams begin to crowd the box, that he will get some opportunities for quick reads that will result in longer gains through the air

he's actually a better thrower than hurts. just needs to be in the right scheme. RPO, up tempo offense.

They don't strike me as particularly similar other than being black running quarterbacks.

Stupid comparison

I can kinda see the comparison, though Jalen Hurts is a good bit bigger and stronger. Daniels probably a little quicker.
Both are inaccurate, at times.

Hurst had a ton more power as a runner.
