Why is one wearing a sports bra? Doesn’t seem like appropriate school attire. Second the teacher has no idea what to do…… they don’t have protocol for this kind of behavior?

They really need a new Teacher for Dispute Resolution because this one isn’t cutting it.

Girls fighting at school were always the best fights.

It’s not his job to break up fights or touch students. He did better than me. I wouldn’t have so much as stood between the two.

fights like this have been happening between kids of all demographics for decades now.

No they have not, atleast at schools that are not majority black. I have seen 1 fight remotely like this and it was in 6th grade, between 2 black girls. Never seen a fight in a class room in HS and there were maybe 1-2 real fights on campus a year if that and were maybe 1-2 punches max.

I never witnessed anything like that in high school. I never saw a bar brawl in a classroom. If there was a fight (and there weren't very many at school) it happened in the common area at lunchtime - and it was between two people and it was broken up almost immediately. That's a whole different level - that's like shite you'd see at a strip club. Nobody involved in that belongs in a regular school.

thank you. regular fight my arse. of course i didnt grow up in the jungles of BR, NOLA or the Port so maybe my view is messed up. We also had zero tolerance, fight on campus or even off if it started from school incident and you will be arrested, brought to juvie and have to pay 250 to get out. shite stopped pretty much all fighting.

I have a feeling the fine representatives of the 13% in the Op would not have been detered.

I did. Junior year 1980. Two girls were up in each others face (grill for you young whipper snappers) jawing. One girl skipped right past the triple dog dare you and ripped a hoop earring from the other girls pierced ear (there were no weave pulling take downs back in the day) and it was on like donkey kong. The sixtyish year old former football coach let them go at it until they ended up locked up on the floor and were wore out. I was amazed at how much a ripped ear could bleed

No I went to school in the late 80’s and saw the same kind of crap. Same as it ever was.

Blows my mind when teachers try to get in the middle of the fights because they never succeed and likely end up in trouble for "putting their hands on students".

Also I wasn't in HS that long ago, but i know when I was there the sports bra chick would have never been able to wear that. I'm sure its been deemed racist to have any dress standards by this point.

All you can do as an administrator is watch until they stop. Teacher can't touch

This is part of the problem. I guarantee that the moment the fight broke out, his tagging them with a cattle prod would have ended it with the quickness.

What do you mean not doing a good job? He did some awesome side skips to the phone and around the fights, what more do you want from our teachers?
