were these pots 5' deep? Are you sure it wasn't a vat or a cauldron of some sort?

summer construction job where we were replacing the floor joists on an old house
none of the old guys could fit under the house, so I had to go first and dig trenches under the house so they could fit
I spent 2 days digging trenches under that house
ever dug trenches on your belly with a tiny shovel? it sucks balls

high school summer job: catching boards off the end of a planer, stacking them, and banding before their moved with a forklift. had to wear eye and ear protection all day and my coworkers were prison inmates. $7/hour. 5AM - 3PM.
Dad: "I got you a summer job that will teach you the value of a college education". it did, he was right.

Student loan collector at the Office of Student Financial Assistance. It was then I realized many of the operators of "for profit" colleges should be in prison for fraud, but the job sucked nevertheless.

working with my uncle in summers during high school building sheds.
we would pick up our supplies and stuff and pick up a job at the main hq at 4-5 am and head out. Would work in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama. We would build most jobs in a single day. If it was a particularly big model sometimes 2. I would haul and unload as fast as i could while he put things together. i would jump in and help assemble once unloaded.
usually get home at 7 or 8 in evening. the work wouldn't have been so bad if he didn't pay me shite and was a mean old bastard who chain smoked all day and slung insults.

Some grain silo job in Iowa where we hauled back-breaking loads of corn around. Corn-fed rats the size of small dogs walking around that weren’t even afraid of us.
Me and my buddy went to lunch on day one and never returned to work.

Pipe fitter helper for Brown & Root as a summer job when I was 19. It was at Shell Refinery in Norco and was the most miserable job ever. Hot and loud AF all the time and very dangerous working conditions. But I was making baw money at $7.50 an hour.

I was 5 foot tall. Could not reach the bottom on my feet. The entire site was extremely clean. Just hated the green custard dishes.
