I’m looking for a good one. My gold standard is R&O’s meatball poboy

Anthony’s, indeed.
I had a good one at Monjunis many years ago, not sure about currently.
Canatella may have them, I don’t know.
Pocorellas closed.

Anthony’s is number 1
Then Jed’s and Phil’s, oddly.

Digiulio's has a great Meatball Poboy at lunch but you can't go wrong with Anthony's either.

Cannatella on Government is another one that's good.

Just a few weeks. Sad because it was a great spot. Anthony's is very good too like others have mentioned.

Bistro Italian has a legit chicken parm sandwich. They don’t use “poboy” bread but it’s the best I’ve had in BR. Their meatball has to be just as good it’s on my list to try. All their food has been pretty legit.

Old Tyme is very good but sloppy as hell. My the time it cools off enough to eat the marinara has soaked thru the bread and it’s falling apart.

Surprised it too so long for someone to recommend this!

This is one of my favorite lunch spots. Their pizzas are awesome, which is what I usually get, but everything else I've tried has been really good too.

I always said if you are going to eat it bring a rain coat and a roll of paper towels. But yes, Olde Tyme does make a great meatball poboy. You're also correct about it being very hot when served. And don't even think about ordering a whole, you'll never finish it !

Remember Villa Roma/Roma Deli on Sherwood? Best meatball poboy I ever had.
