Pecan brochette @ Soileaus
Cafe Josephine had good steaks, but it ain’t cheap
Steamboat is solid

I also like Pizza Shack but it’s not for everyone
Pretty sure Aranda is on Nebraska’s radar too and they’ll pay him whatever he wants
Only had 97 yards in his game this past Fri. against halfway decent competition
If he gets them to a bowl I think there’s a very good chance they hire him. That means they’d have to go 4-3 over their last 7 and their schedule isn’t that difficult

Bill Busch (former LSU guy) is their interim DC as well and the defense performed well against Indians
You’re probably right but if MJ is able to make a bowl and wins the permanent HC spot he’ll get his share of LA kids that are overlooked/not offered by LSU… Ajay Allen for example. Also Decoldest is there and Trey Palmer is having an excellent season with them and they’ll be helping to peer recruit LA guys also, no doubt

Rocco’s Poboys - Drusilla

Based on the recs of this board I decided to check out Rocco’s today. Hadn’t been there in many, many years. I ordered the “Crescent City Combo” with a side of extra gravy. I assumed the gravy would be the debris gravy from their roast beef. Instead I proceeded to watch as the guy went to back and pulled out an industrial-sized can of generic brown gravy, opened the top, and dumped it into a big vat and then layered it on the sandwich and filled a little cup with it for the extra I’d requested. When he brought it to me I asked, “Wait, y’all use canned gravy?” to which he replied, “I mean yeah, we can’t make it fresh every day.” I should’ve told him I didn’t want it but I’d already paid and I was hungry. Brought it home, took one bite, and threw it in the trash. It was fricking terrible.

Bills
Bucs Creamsicle

And these

Will definitely try
If you want something that’ll really put hair on your arse, try a Red Eye (from the movie Cocktail)

I remember during one of the hurricanes our power was out and the house was an oven. All of the hotels in the area were sold out but when we called Alamo they said they had a couple rooms left. We sped out there and when we got there there were cops everywhere and one room’s door was open and covered with crime tape. We ended up going to TX instead.

I can also believe that Nebraska’s boosters and administration got themselves into this mess by deciding that Solich and Pelini weren’t good enough and should be fired.

I see a lot of people saying this. I’m as big a Nebraska football fan as there is, and i approved both firings. Solich couldn’t recruit and was headed downhill fast; Pelini had reached his obvious ceiling and had begun to plateau. The problem wasn’t the firings, it was the replacement hires. Rather than taking the next step forward, both Callahan and Riley took steps backward. Frost took yet another step back. That’s why this next hire is so critical because everyone knows that once you take 3 steps back in a row, you don’t come back.
Sounds like Erin Andrews is shooting her shot

they don’t have the patience and still think they are entitled to nattys

Totally inaccurate. I don’t know one single Nebraska fan who thinks that. All we want is to be winning the West and competing for the conference championship on a regular basis, which isn’t all that hard to do considering the teams in the West.
A top 5 team? No. But I have no doubt he could win the Big 10 West on a regular basis and put competitive teams in the conference championship game. Doesn’t matter, though. Trev won’t consider him because he doesn’t match “the integrity and morals of this great state.” They’ll end up with Klieman or Leipold and winning 6-8 games a year and be complaining 5 years from now about it
No idea, but word is that feelers were sent out and he expressed mutual interest. I personally wouldn’t want him, anyway.
To be fair, Martinez was really good as a freshman and even had some Heisman buzz going into his sophomore campaign. They wanted him to bulk up and when he did it slowed him down and he lost his elusiveness and wiggle. Also suffered some injuries that slowed his progress and he never recovered. Moments of greatness interspersed with moments of total failure.
Frost’s teams always looked sedated. I’d see other teams, jumping around, hyped, like hungry animals in their cages, waiting to be released to go run out on the field. Nebraska players would run out like they just woke up from a collective nap. No fire at all.
