I know he’s a few years away but can we appreciate this guy?

Graciously destroyed LSU and has never looked back. Even when he played behind DeMarco Murray it was clear he was the better RB.

I guess it was clear to anyone who wasn’t LSUpride or an LSU fan.

But this guy’s story is something we should all get behind. There isn’t a better example of a young man believing in himself and seeing that Alabama could take him to the next level.

How many more yards does Henry need to make it? Would 8,000 more do it?

I’m a Oilers/Titans fan. Henry is 2nd best back behind Earl. Eddie 3rd. Then maybe Chris. Henry will be HOF. He has amazing stats and has only missed limited time. When healthy, he is the most dominant back in the league.

Two rushing titles.
No super bowl wins.
No MVP.

Hall of fame?

Should not but probably will because everyone who has a nice career is getting in now.

Some of those guys he stiff-arms into Bolivian just have to quit the league, right? Either restore your honor through seppuku or immediately quit the league.

Well there are only 25 RBs in the hall and the most recent one is Ladainian Tomlinson who
had an 11 year career and 8 years of those were higher than Henry’s 3rd best year. So I would say for him to make it in the Hall he has put in 5-6 more years above 1200 which isn’t likely or make some deep runs in the playoffs, which is much more likely.

He probably needs to basically double his stats.

12,000 yards is typically the barrier for HOF running backs.

But winning a ring, MVP, or another 2k yard season would make him a lock without the accumulated stats.

Different league bro.

All the more reason for him to make it.

You’re watching the LAST RB to make a difference and shitting on him because the media has you brainwashed.

Let me know the next time a RB wins a MVP and drags his team to a SB.

Christ.

The last time you saw something like that it was Henry running for 2000+ yards and carrying Alabama to a NC.

The NFL clearly HAS to keep RBs relevant bc they’re the 2nd or 3rd most entertaining positions in the game.

So again, what do he need to do to make it? Or is Henry going to be the very last dominant RB to be forgotten as the rules get gay af..?

Have more than 2 pro bowl caliber seasons?

It's the NFL and he's a running back. Todd Gurley was the AP offensive player of the year in 2017 and out of the league by 2021.

Who's to say the touches don't catch up to Henry and his body breaks down? He already had an injury riddled season last year and he's 27.

to make the hall of fame? I don't know, like 5 years of ELITE production and 3 or 4 years of very good production.

Do you think it's just a coincidence that after his two highest years in terms of touches, by far, including one year where he led the league in toches, he missed over half the season?

I’ll put you down for trying to get cool internet points, like always, without actually answering anything.

Play 30 years ago when running backs were the core of the offense.

Passing is so overwhelming promoted by the rulebook at this point that RB have unfortunately taken a backseat and largely become utility players.

Henry just needs one more 2k yard season and he’s in. He’s already got 60+ touchdowns
