Prosecutors announced Tuesday that two Atlanta officers who shot and killed Rayshard Brooks have been exonerated and will no longer face charges in his death.

The announcement comes more than two years after Brooks was killed during a confrontation outside an Atlanta Wendy’s on June 12, 2020.

This was the one where the DA, who was under some kind of criminal investigation at the time, came out within a few days and charged the officers with murder?

That was insane.

If anything jumps off it probably won't be until the weekend. The professional protesters/rioters need time to gather supplies and get to Atlanta.

Typical Democrat DA playbook: if someone defends themselves from a violent attack, charge them with murder. If the media loses interest then drop the charges.

Didn’t the mayor also criticize the officers and ask for “appropriate” punishment?

If you full blown fight a cop. Beat him, take his taser, try to run, turn, and point the taser at the cop, you're done.

Was thinking the same thing. Is there anything left in that area worth looting?

Probably not. They took all the good stuff and burned out all the good places last time.

First world problems man...

Remember that DA didn’t get relelected.

The new Fulton DA didn’t want to to touch it so she recused herself. It took so long to get a special prosecutor and then likely have some grand jury say they wouldn’t indict.

They were already cleared by GBI and have had their jobs unofficially back .

They will pay him to not work forever.

His mom still has a case pending where her company fired her for being cops mom.
