Your BS rankings mean nothing to anyone but you and the recruiters telling parents. when all this jersey trash goes back to PA or NY NJ anyone recruiting them for employment, first thing comes to mind oh couldn’t get in to penn st hahaha keep it up stat dork. SEC schools are not academically competitive period. I have see the grade reports for the entire Greek system at one sec school for years the collective GPA are statistically improbable. Rank all you want school it’s not difficult whoever makes these lists it’s a joke. You belive it good for you. You are good a football leave it at that. Enjoy taking all that out of state tuition. You forgot one you’re at the bottom for astronauts in the sec

Vice?

Their headline will be. "Too many republican females singing racists remarks while rejecting men with penises into their groups"

Well, my other kid goes to USC so total astronauts at their respective schools blows anyone else away. And since we are talking about the last ten years there is currently a SpaceX pilot who graduated from Alabama and a Space Shuttle pilot. Folks also forget the Space Command will be based in Huntsville and is already fomenting relationships with the UA system.

And as for my child at Bama, it worked out with a scholarship that paid room and board and a stipend. And getting to travel to Germany for a year in a co-operative with Mercedes Benz. Now on to her starting out this year on a PhD in Mechanical Engineering tract with full salary, tuition and benefits at a highly regarded engineering school.

Tiktok censoring

TikTok is owned by China

It’s algorithm pushes shite like this to the top. Then their admins (in China) censor anything questioning it or fighting back.

Much like Twitter.

So you see this guy dressing in a skirt and wanting to join a sorority. It has millions of likes. You read the comments and they’ve all been pruned to make it seem like 100% of the world is excited this is happening.

And the feeble adolescent minds absorbing all this are engineered to think that the world finds this behavior acceptable and encouraged.

Trump should have banned tiktok when he had the chance.

It is hostile psychological engineering

Tiktok in China is all pro China educational material. Tiktok in America is all trans gay BLM shite.

It’ll be some vicious recordings of the girls saying like oh no way we don’t want that tranny in here with us

Stirring up a shitestorm of trans/woke crowd marching on the campus and requiring all the students to have mandatory inclusivity training and blah blah

We know how this ends

You left out the part about racism. They’ve been beating that drum since the 80s (at least). No way they miss an opportunity to vomit that tired tripe too.

No doubt they'll paint a Southern university and its traditions in a positive light.
If they even get enough footage. Potential new members have to be invited back each day. Today or tomorrow is probably Bid Day and likely to have more info surface on this. Bama sororities are highly competitive so I’d be willing to bet those 6 got canned fairly quickly.

Go ahead and keep making stuff up..Bama scholarships are one of the reason that they are attracting these out of state students. Instate Louisiana students with high enough test scores and GPA can go to Alabama for cheaper than LSU even with TOPS. Average student debt at Alabama is $34,975 which is around the middle for SEC schools.

I live in Louisiana. This is true. When LSU fans bitch about Louisiana sidewalk Alabama fans, they're wrong. They're actually Alabama alum or parents of alum. Louisiana's filled with Alabama grads.

it’s crazy. My son just started his senior year of high school and will be announced National Merit soon and got a 35 ACT. The numbers Alabama is showing him are unbelievable. They offer 4 year full ride, stipends and study abroad not to mention a 5th year of tuition so you can get an MBA your 4th and 5th yr.

I wouldn’t say the state is filled with Alabama grads. Most never return. The brain drain in LA is real and our best students have been leaving the state for decades. LSU does not incentivize in state students beyond TOPS in most cases.

This right here. My son graduated high school last year and chose Alabama for the same reasons. We live in MS and just moved my son into his dorm at Bama this past weekend. He had a lot of college options (National Merit Scholar, ACT 34, SAT 1550, and Salutatorian of his class) but couldn't turn down the crazy amount of money Alabama was offering - five years tuition, housing for four years, $4000 a year for four years stipend, and study aboard money. For that kind of money, I'll say "Roll Tide" even though a little part of me dies inside.

You’re not even best in the state, much less than when we bring a school like GA Tech into the discussion. Congrats and good luck to your daughter, but let’s not get carried away.

Update: he was unsurprisingly cut from every single sorority. Only got an invite for the first round by two sororities.

Your Tango

quote:

Sadly, on Saturday, August 12th, Grant Sikes revealed that she has been dropped from all sororities on the University of Alabama campus, saying it did not come as a surprise considering all but two had dropped her before the first day even began.

"Hi everyone, it's Grant," began the statment in her Instagram post. "First and foremoset, I would like to thank my family, friends and everyone who has come along during this journey with me. From the thousands of messages to meeting the funniest people, I had the best time.

"Unfortunately this chapter is closed. This recruitment journey is over for me. Being dropped from my last house this morning during primary recruitment at the University of Alabama doesn't come as a surprise considering out of the almost 20 chapters I was dropped by every single one except 2 before day 1: Gamma Phi Beta and Kappa Alpha Theta.

"I'm hopeful for a future where everyone is welcomed for just being themselves —everywhere.

"If you are going through a hard time today, remember that life is too short to ponder on the things lost. Choose happiness & always look for the positive things throughout life. Move on. See the good. See the bad. Hope for the best. Brave the worst.

"Looking back on this past week, SO many amazing opportunities have come my way. In my inital application papers, I paid tribute to my Grandma who passed away this year with Alzheimer's. I know that she is so proud. Nana, this is just the beginning."

Sikes is a student at The University of Alabama who lists her pronouns as she/her on her TikTok profile and was being praised by her followers for challenging Greek Life's lack of transgender representation.

When Bama Rush season started, she posted TikTok videos of herself displaying her day-to-day outfits (called OOTD, outfit of the day) for the process and keeping followers updated on her journey.

When Bama Rush season started, she posted TikTok videos of herself displaying her day-to-day outfits (called OOTD, outfit of the day) for the process and keeping followers updated on her journey.

“Wish me luck!” she told followers in one of her viral videos on which several fans declared her their main character and a favorite of this season.

“The only person I will be rooting for,” one user wrote.

However, rumors circulated early that Grant Sikes was being dropped from all Alabama sororities.

The rumor appeared to be untrue at the time as Sikes continued to post about the rush process, but her followers have expressed concerns that her trans identity could make her vulnerable to Alabama's conservative views. It looks like the rumors were partially true as she was dropped from most houses almost immediately, according to her Instagram statement.

“I was rooting for her but Alabama sororities are not these super progressive groups, unfortunately,” one TikTok user commented. “I mean they just desegregated less than 10 years ago. These groups are not worth the fame and attention they’re getting by a landslide.”

quote:

Many people believe that the decision of where to place transgender individuals among Greek organizations should not be left in the hands of 18-22-year-olds who lack proper diversity training and that universities should be doing more to establish inclusive policies.

In some instances, trans students are denied entry into sororities simply because of their gender category.

Jessica Pettitt, a former college administrator, and consultant tells Cosmopolitan that over the last decade at least five national Greek organizations have considered adopting policies that would deny transgender students membership.

In 2016, Adam Davies, a transgender male and student at Northwestern University seeking new friends and opportunities by joining a sorority, was dropped from all 12 organizations that he rushed for.

Although his gender was not stated to be the reason behind his denied entry, many believed that the odds were stacked against him because of his transition.

quote:

Yet, if nothing else, Sikes played a huge role in challenging Alabama's outdated ideas on gender and gender expression.

She has inspired many TikTokers to push fear of not being accepted aside and to take the risk and pursue the things they desire.

“Thank you for this. You have no idea what this does for babies everywhere wondering if they’ll fit in or being terrified to take that leap,” one user wrote.

“So proud to witness this.”

Yeah, Vice is going to use him to try to take down the Greek system. It’s rumored that they have six plants going through the rush process. Expect the story to be out by the end of the month.

That will only make the story worse. Transphobic sororities will be the headline.
