Its Kindergarten.
Her parents didn’t send her there. The adopted parents did. They aren’t part of the church. They didn’t really want to send the girl to Christian fundamentalists school. They were looking for attention.

In other news, Pastor Roland Leghorn has been "booted" to the Bible Baptist Academy in neighboring County due to undisclosed improprieties. Parents of students in that neighboring County will, of course, not be told of any preexisting improprieties.

Maybe. The kid did pre-K at this school and then re-enrolled her for K.
Maybe the kid’s parents were church members and the adopted parents were trying to honor that? People have raised children to be a different religion then themselves in just these circumstances.
