You seem very emotionally attached to this subject. Why?

You lost me right here. Luke warm will be spit out. Too many people want some watered down version of Christianity.

I’m not remotely religious and I think throwing the kid out is wrong but let’s quit riding the fence here. At least this school is standing by their convictions.

What does this have to do with the kid that was expelled from the school. I don't think I've ever heard of a school expelling students because things their parents have done

The school is free to do as it chooses and I fully believe that

But I find it so funny Christian’s only care about certain sins, and not the countless others they partake in

Some sins are more serious than others

Just like lies.

I think there is a whole lot more to this story.

How dare you. Every one of those kids at that school clearly live in two-parent homes, and none of those parents ever had pre-marital sex.

exactly. I’m sure Jesus would have never allowed this kid to listen to his teachings either.

Of course.

But pre marital sex, booze, gambling, etc all fall pretty close to homos according to the scripture

And if you go check some of those garbage cans and casino receipts…..

Louisiana private school

Yes although we have certainly muddled the waters there in Louisiana. I would be curious if this school accepts students with school choice vouchers from the State.

So that is where I think in the future, it may get weird. I think some states (like here in Florida) may start finding ways to privatize school. But what happens if a school actually says “we don’t accept kids of gay parents”. Or what happens when a school only accepts X amount of kids and a family of gay parents don’t get accepted and they cry foul. Current moment, it doesn’t matter. But if we truly start privatizing school and this kicks up? I think there is going to be TONS of backlash. Especially in Louisiana where major metropolitans have tons of liberal officials elected.

Just because you have the right to be a shitty person and make shitty decisions, does not mean you should.

So, you think Jesus would refuse to educate a child because her new legal guardians were gay?

You clearly don’t understand who Jesus was.

Stuff like this is what gives Christians a bad image.

Are they within their rights to bar the kid? Yeah.

Was it "right"? Eye test says no.

How it could have been handled:

-Call in the couple that locks up like crabs.

-Explain they don't condone their lifestyle and will be teaching that it is wrong.

-Advise they will not tolerate any criticism of that teaching.

-Ask if they agree to the above.

If yes, let the kid stay. If no, they made that decision.

Whats lost in all this is the kid, as usual. They are the ones that ultimately suffer while the "adults" bicker back and forth.

Don't pretend for a second that being uprooted from her home and now the only school she's likely known, isn't scary as shite for her. And that's fricking sad.

How about you blame the parents for using this poor child as a pawn in and attempt to get whatever internet/viral fame they are looking for instead of the school that has to try and uphold some since of Christianity in this fricked up world??

Personally I feel any parent that uses their “kid”as a tool/pawn to promote anything should be brought up on charges!!

This poor child has had zero say in this, and this is clearly an attempt by the parents to promote their own agenda.
