I support a private schools right to do this, but this is such a shitty thing for the school to do. How in the world is this the Christian thing to do? I’m as sick as anyone with all of the Trans bullshite and drag queens in elementary schools, but this is some small minded redneck bullshite.

Terrible publicity knowing the Catholic church stance on protecting their own child molesters...

Bible Baptist Academy is an odd name for a Catholic school, I must admit

Just trying to get out ahead of the deposition when the parents are arrested for producing videos.

Doesn’t make it less shitty.

What will be interesting is when states start trying to privatize the school system even more. What will happen when private schools start picking and choosing who comes in and it “appears” to discriminate. Will they stop getting funding? Or will state governments just let private schools do whatever they want with govt money?

Fine, but they should also exclude the children of other parents who sin. You know, to be consistent and all.

Adam & Eve not Adam & Steve.

Why don’t the gays send their kid to public school?

Your feelings on the matter are irrelevant.

Oh, my bad. Well the Baptist sinners are much worse anyway.

How do you know they don’t?

They are a private school. They have selective admission. They can accept and deny whoever they want.

You lost me right here. Luke warm will be spit out. Too many people want some watered down version of Christianity.

I’m not remotely religious and I think throwing the kid out is wrong but let’s quit riding the fence here. At least this school is standing by their convictions.

If it is a mortal sin then I would agree.

“Jennifer Parker and her wife Emily Parker took in Jennifer’s niece Zoey after the girl's father suffered an industrial accident two years ago.“

“However, the news of Zoey’s newly-official family structure was not received well at the school where she attended pre-k, Bible Baptist Academy in DeQuincy, La.“

Woof. Pretty, pretty lousy of this church/school to let the child attend pre-k while in the care of her two foster parents but then kick her out on the eve of kindergarten because she is formerly adopted.

Did they not know about the domestic situation during pre-k? If the intervening event here was the foster parents getting married I could maybe squint and see a don’t ask don’t tell rationale, but the intervening event here is adoption.

This church/pastor must have zero concept of the challenges raised by caring for kids over which you are not the legal guardian. But you have to think they at least know a thing or two about tax exemptions.
