Call it a CSB, or a WTF, but this actually happened in a McDonalds in Grenada, MS

My wife and I (no pics) were travelling to north Mississippi to visit her parents. We stopped off for a bathroom break at a McDonalds in Grenada, MS. We decided to get Frappes to go while we were there. No one was getting their orders on time, although there seemed to be a good number of employees working. It took us 25 minutes to get our drinks. That’s not an exaggeration. Anyway, one poor old lady was sitting there waiting patiently for her order. She was there before us, so no telling how long she had been waiting. When her food was finally ready (it was a to-go order), it was handed to her with no comment about the order. She opened the bag and looked inside and said, “There was supposed to be a large order of fries in here.” The cashier said, “Yeah, Laquisha dropped them on the floor. You want us to make you another one?”
The cashier was going to send that poor lady home without her fries since Laquisha had dropped them on the floor. I have no frame of reference for processing that.
Can anyone help me understand what I witnessed?

Just spent 30 minutes trying to get food at the McDonald’s in Gulfport Mississippi. It’s f’ing pathetic what some of these places have for employees

This doesn't sound like any McDondald's I've ever been to. People who work there generally have it together and are customer-oriented.

As a native, I have no trouble believing this. Just be glad you didn't go to the McDonalds in Greenwood or Greenville. I no longer partake in any fast food, outside of CFA, unless it is an emergency.
