One year ago today, I stopped eating all fried foods

I was a little overweight and had a slightly elevated cholesterol reading at an annual checkup.
I'm convinced there is nothing I could have done to feel better. I dropped about 25 pounds, and discovered that I didn't really like fried foods all that much, but found myself eating them out of convenience.
If I have to eat fast food - most places have surprisingly decent grilled chicken sandwiches. Its been a good change that wasn't as difficult as it sounds.

Good job, glad you're feeling better. I had a similar experience with alcohol.

I can't help but wonder was it really fried stuff or have you also cut back on sugar in the same time?

I’m in Keto at present to varying degrees and have dropped 30 in the last three months. I won’t touch breads, potatoes or dessert/sugar shite, etc, but I’ll eat fried fish or chicken fingers maybe once a week with no negative effect. Yum.

We’re you frying the food or buying fried food? Just trying to understand the convenience part.

I think I could do it if I could have wings, probs my fav food.
But I guess that’s part of the discipline aspect of quitting fried food. Not eating fried foods lol

FYI today is national French fries day. Free ones at McD's and Wendys.

CFA grilled chicken club sandwich is a god tier meal. The spicy version they did last Spring with the cilantro lime sauce was a Top 3 sandwich.

True! Most places have a decent option so you don’t have to eat complete garbage

Good for you. Keep it up if it makes you happy and healthy.
French fries are fricking delicious, though. Not that baked shite, either. Fried.

What if I don’t eat the batter on the fried chicken? That counts
