Persona 5 on Switch is big news. People have been waiting on it for a long time. I mean, Persona 5 was also released on the PS3, so the Switch should run it well.

I don't own a Switch or care really about Nintendo at this point, but:
quote:

Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable on Switch
Significant Persona fanbase, so this is good for the Switch.
quote:

Portal: Companion Collection Comes to Switch Today
Another good addition to their catalog.
quote:

Nier: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition Coming to Switch
Again, another good addition. This is considered one of the best games ever made.

I care more about this since I play the PC version, although it is just roadmap stuff. Still nice to see.

Overall, they have some good stuff here.

While I'm sure there are people excited. The biggest announcements were ports of 5+ year old games.

More people getting to play Nier is a good thing.

But as much as some people love it, I just can’t get past the high school cringe of Persona. And I like some anime.

I was kind of excited about DragonQuest Treasures. Reminds me a lot of Builders which is one of the most addicting games ever

This was one of the better Nintendo Directs in a while if you like Japanese developed games

Persona, Nier, Mega Man Battle Network and Return to Monkey Island all stand out to me

If you like FPS and Sports games, maybe, but they filled the catalog pretty well while they still have Xenoblade 3, Splatoon 3 and the rumored Metroid Prime trilogy coming this year. And Fire Emblem Warriors is getting rave reviews. It's already a solid year with the biggest stuff ahead, so this was a solid Direct, particularly with the Subbreak details and the great choices of ports. And...

The first one is a phenomenal game. One of those games of pure, unvarnished fun. And this one looks even better. Huge game for the year. Everyone with a Switch should own the first one. It's only slightly behind Odyssey, BotW and Fire Emblem as best on the system.

Outside of Mario and Zelda, Nintendo games are trash IMHO. Aside from BOTW, i have more time in Hades than anything else on my switch, and it was a port from PC.

I would think that fans of those games would have played them already lol

I've never touched any of the Mega Man spin-offs outside of Legends, so I have didn't have the attachment to them.

I do think that a Square Enix developed Rune Factory could be good.

Who is running Nintendo?!?

How about you make up for the lackluster 35th Zelda anniversary by giving us some

Switch specific, majora, ocarina, twilight, windwaker, etc…

Instead we get skyward sword (meh) and a game and watch???

I have a switch. It collects dust.

Strikers is pretty good, been having fun with that playing with my fiancé.

But yeah this direct did little for me, don’t really care to play third party games on the Switch now that the Deck is a thing. Outside of Xenoblade 3 not looking forward to much on the horizon.
