That was photos sleeping on Liddell.

He might see the floor more than we think.

I’m excited about Liddell too. Can hit threes, block shots and guard multiple positions. Also, do we actually have depth? I feel like for the first time in a while we won’t have to sign free agents off the street and immediately insert them into the rotation.

That looks like a top 5 team in the West to me.

One thing we have to realize is that the rotation will be such that there is always at least one of BI, CJ or Zion on the floor which makes that 2nd 5 even more formidable !

The Pels will be competing for the 1. 5 would be underachieving for this team barring major injuries.

Can't say 5th would underachieving. The West is pretty stacked next year. If the team stays healthy, I think 50 wins +/- is a reasonable goal. Young NBA teams need to mature and grow together. I wouldn't be surprised to see us hang around .500 the first half of the season while things get sorted...

Thats a top 3 seed honestly. With our depth and main core trio…. I promise you every team we play against is going to have some fun figuring out how to play us.

Just give us a god damn healthy season damnit!

Y'all, we'd still be top-5 without Zion. Trey, Herb, and Jose collectively have another level. With as hard as those guys work, there's just no way that they don't improve.

And then we add Zion. But not just 2020-21 Zion. No, that Zion was still learning how to play NBA defense, and he wasn't very good at it. That Zion played at least 10 pounds heavier than the Zion that we have now. And the Zion that we have now has developed a wet midrange jumpshot and is ready to dominate at a much higher level than he ever has before.

We are a true contender to win the West.

This Zion is going to be learning how to play defense too, because he hasn’t played. Guys who aren’t just naturally instinctually gifted defenders need to play to get better.

I think Zions biggest defensive issue was he was fat and had poor conditioning. He didn’t want to expend the effort because If he did he would run out of steam. He couldn’t move his feet quick enough because…he couldn’t. An in shape, svelte, peak conditioned Zion is going to melt peoples faces off.

Anyhoo:

If Graham is on the roster he’s going to play early on. Dyson will probably take a minute to get heavy rotation. His size, instincts and Defense will eventually get him on the floor.

Kira’s health also determines a lot. If Kira is healthy early they are going to give him a little run to see what they have.

Honestly, I know people keep saying that we need more shooting, but IMO the biggest need is interior defense. We really don’t have a rim protector on the roster. Our perimeter defense is solid though.

Yeah, I think Daniels will probably be like Trey in terms of not getting real minutes until the end because they need Graham and Hayes getting minutes until they are traded. Let’s just hope whoever is in front of him isn’t like Temple was last year.

Jaxson still isn’t good. I would do a small lineup and put Graham in at 2, slide DD to 3, Trey to 4.

I’m not being pessimistic here. I love this roster. But anyone seriously thinking we can be “true” contenders in the West…

I really don’t think so. We will be good. Very good. 2nd round good.

But man the West is going to be fricking STACKED next year and this is pre-Free Agency.

This team is still young as hell, has a lot to learn, and has flaws.

We don’t have enough interior D and rim protection. Not enough consistent outside shooting. Bench PG play is a wildcard. I love Jose but don’t see him as a full time backup PG. I seem him as an energy and defense guy in spot minutes, 10-15 minutes a game.

No team is flawless. But we will be good. I’m excited as hell.

I’m with you mostly Bunch. We are short on shooting and defense when it comes playoff time. That being said, I can see us beating the Suns. Clippers scare me but will Kawhi be playing at the end of the year? I think we are better than Memphis honestly. Dallas doesn’t scare me and they were in western conference finals.

It’s largely dependent on Zion being healthy and Zion being a top ten type of player. If he is, I don’t know. Stranger things have happened.

just kawhi coming back changes the balance and GSW looks to be on another run. But, there’s an opening with Utah, Denver and Phoenix having issues

The only teams that I think are definitely better than us are the Warriors and Clippers. Not saying that we’d beat all of the other teams, but I think we’re on the level of Dallas, Memphis, Phoenix, and Denver.
