What is your most underrated sci-fi film? For me, it is "Pandorum". There was a story to make a trilogy, but the movie practically flopped at the box office and the other films were canned. Very intriguing story if they would have finished it.

Film 1 = Pandorum
Film 2 story = before the ship Elysium left Earth
Film 3 story = after the ship Elysium landed on Tanis

It’s somewhat of a parody of itself, but I think Starship Troopers is an objectively fantastic movie because of its self-awareness. It doesn’t take itself too seriously and just works. I may get smashed for this though

Sunshine

I know it takes that weird slasher/horror turn at the end, but I still love it

This movie creeped me out for some reason. Doesn't happen often.

Came to post this and was pleasantly surprised it was the OP entry. Very nice. I hadn't heard about it until about 2-3 years ago. Really enjoyed it.
