They are winning because the republican party leadership refuses to show up and fight.

No, diff Fang Fang.

These people have to be the stupidest people on the planet and are complete clowns but they are politically focused and know exactly what they are doing.

This is why “red flags” is a terrible idea. There is IMMENSE POWER bestowed on WHO gets to decide what constitutes a “Red Flag”!

This is exactly what Red Flag laws are.

An attempt to take the guns out of the hands of those who the Left disagrees with.

There is less than .000000001% chance Ben Shapiro shoots anyone.

So long as there are no penalties for false/vindictive claims or they are kept anonymous these laws will outlast us all (since nobody seems to care about trampled rights these days).

It absolutely should be removed - and any further damage to free Americans eliminated.

If there is not a way to protect Americans from any red flag laws, ALL who voted for it should be eliminated from ever legislating ANYTHINNG again...

...and the MISTAKEs corrected

Also, the "meet him at the door" was at the door of his own home. I watched that segment, it was about if public schools are complete indoctrination systems (they already are) and if the government also outlaws private schools and homeschooling (lots of progs advocating this already), and they show up at his doorstep demanding his child, he meets them at the door with his guns.

This was my impression as well. He wasn’t saying he was going to shoot somebody in cold blood for teaching his kids gender crap, but if they came for his kids he’d meet them at the door with a gun.

He kinda gave the perfect example of why a red flag law would be abusive.

I expect downvotes, but in a perfect system, I’m not opposed to red flag laws. If your neighbor makes a threat against you and you know they are a legit threat with a gun, and you call the cops, you’ll be happy to see the police go over to his house and if they deem him a threat confiscate his gun. That’s a completely legitimate use of the law.

Swallwell encapsulates exactly why I think it would be abused.

I wish all the idiots who think RFL (like Ben Shapiro) are not that big a deal had to take one hour pondering the implications of this post, and the potential for abuse. Tyranny is a given, since they are unconstitutional on their face, but the utter abuse of the laws are going to get a lot of people killed.

This is why the red flag laws are so dangerous. They’ll just be used to target people the left don’t like or agree with.

This is absolutely not a legitimate use of the law

First, our system isn’t perfect. But beyond it is NOT a legitimate use of our laws to confiscate rights based on what a person might do.

You’re expecting judges and police to be fortune tellers. Perfectly. That is pure magical thinking.

And further the ultimate goal here is to paint anyone that owns a firearm as a threat. The gun grabbers already passed up the “there is no legitimate reason to own a gun” years ago. Next stop is “anyone that owns a gun is probably a criminal”.

Just watch… how many times the “red flag” “threat” will be based on “he owns a gun” and little else.

You think Shapiro (a man with at least twice your education and an IQ advantage of probably 3 SD) did not “take an hour” to consider his position.

OK

How many times does it have to be repeated?

When a leftist lunatic tells you what they want to do, believe them.
