Yes because this FO has frequently done this in the draft

Underhill has come out and said that the TM signing was basically done and they weren’t going to take Brisker

You say the Saints panicked, teams follow their draft board. Taylor was the next guy up.

Nothing about our first 3 picks said "BPA".

The saints drafted for need, hence all the capital used to get Olave.

How can you put Turner on the list? That’s not even a fair evaluation yet.

The Saints record for high-round DBs with Ireland in the room is literally perfect. So I think we should give them some benefit of the doubt. I don’t love the pick myself but I have a feeling it will work out.

These are the same people definitively judging a pick before rookie mini camp. They aren’t bright and have the patience and emotional intelligence of small children.

This doesn't mean a darn thing but...

My best friend is a life long Tennessee fan and is pretty rational, not a usual Homer fan who thinks all his colleges players will be great. When we drafted Kamara he immediately told me he'd be an absolute stud.

He did the exact same thing when we drafted Taylor.

I’m not sure how Turner will end up. He better be really good since we’ve invested so much on the DL with Davenport.

I was on record saying we shouldve drafted Moehrig in the first with Williams upcoming fa and jenkins age. Turner seemed more of a luxury pick.

He started all of his games and had the 16th ranked coverage grade of all safeties as a rookie.

His pff grade was almost 10 points higher than Jenkins as a rookie.

I don't know if I'd call it a bad pick, but I said out loud when they announced the pick "what the hell is that?!" Didn't expect it at all.

It's become fairly obvious why the team continues to invest on the DL. Having good DL you can rotate and keep fresh is a huge advantage

Turner is going to be good, his only issue is staying healthy. Tape is strong. Best game was his debut vs Carolina, see link

Tunrer vs Panthers

I think Turner was a reach where they selected him

A higher ranked player at a position of need was slipping and available to the Saints when they picked Turner. I'm talking about WR Elijah Moore. Had they selected Moore instead of Turner, they wouldn't have had to invest so much future capital to draft Chris Olave this year

IMO, I don't consider picking a CB, OT or DE a reach if they have potential. A reach is picking a center/guard in the first round.

It doesn't matter what we think because clearly teams have a different draft board than the ones we see daily from Kiper, McShay, and the rest.
