Go to any subreddit and you'll see a ton of posts about rising crime. r/LosAngeles is full of posts about day-time armed robberies in once safe areas (Beverly Hills, Hollywood, etc.) Crime is OOC around the country and the MSM and our politicians are staying silent.

Crime rate has been on a rise in recent years but in no way out of control. It’s one of the safer times ever in America.

Zero crime in Bawcomville

It helps that checking fists isn’t against the law there.

I wonder how much age demographics play into this.

Yea, crime/murder rate in the 90's was much higher.

I believe it.
Murders are impossible to hide.
Property crime, etc police and prosecutor just pretend it didn't happen.

Technically the crime rate didn't decrease, so Bawcomville doesn't count

Fox News

By targeting known violent criminals and seeking stiff penalties for the worst offenders, a Republican Florida prosecutor has reduced violent crime in her community as big cities with Democratic district attorneys around the country, including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, are witnessing crime spikes.

"In 2021, Jacksonville’s murders were down 30% and overall shootings down 17% from the year prior, according to [Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office] data for non-domestic shooting incidents," David Chapman, a spokesperson for the Fourth Circuit State Attorney’s Office, told Fox News Digital. "Given last year’s downturn, our numbers to date aren’t far off the mark and thankfully have not spiked like other cities."

Well yeah, the more minoritized a city or town is the higher crime is going to be.

Easy to tout this when you stop prosecuting anything but the most blatantly violent crimes.

Yeah, when thugs were killing each other in the ghetto at ridiculous rates. But overall, I feel much less safer than I did in the 90s because the crime is spread out seemingly everywhere now (even driving on the highway and Interstate).
