The team is not garbage. Just bc we aren’t ready to compete with the elite of the SEC on the road doesn’t mean garbage.
We can beat the lower tier teams in conference but can’t beat the elite teams in conference. That’s not garbage when considering how great the SEC is.

Garbage is a terrible word. Just say we can't compete at this time. Don't like to say anyone is garbage. It then says something about who said it.

We can’t compete is truthful. When will LSU compete ? It better be before the end of June 2024.

Our program has been trending downward since 2017. Deterioration in pitching and overall talent, roster management, team leadership. We are still competitive in the SEC; at this point we are outclassed by TN and AK from my estimation. Vandy I think we could go toe to toe with. Florida we already took the series and MS State we swept. We probably have a case for top 4 in the conference power rankings. There’s a gap between 1-2 and then everyone below them.

Our starting catcher and LF aren't playing, and Morgan is in a brace just to be in the lineup. And, we're still in the thick of it despite compiling that with horrific defense, untimely hitting, and a pitching staff that has maybe 1 starter. I'm as unhappy as anyone but to think we're not on the doorstep is just way too naive. At Arky, a tough place to play, we were in every game. Our lineup and staff are littered with underclassmen very capable of doing it right now, but they're struggling to do it consistently like upperclassmen would.

Pretty accurate. College baseball in the SEC was an afterthought before LSU started winning National Championships.

I’m living with it just fine. I’ve accepted that we aren’t some baseball juggernaut anymore that I grew up knowing and loving. Those days are long gone. It is what it is. I’m also at an age where it would be weird to get all bent out of shape over the outcomes of a baseball game with 18-23 yr olds playing in it.

The schedule will get a tad easier, Mizzou and Ole Myth are subpar. We get UGA at home, Vandy not usual selves.Still time to make a move.

Berry is the only one I would consider an AA. The others are just too inconsistent. Johnson will be fine when he gets his classes in.
