The woman is said not to have made a complaint to the police or any other authority, saying she wanted to forget about the incident.

Right. He wasn't setup at all. Not that I think this guy shouldn't face consequences but I have a feeling this person is some sort of plant.

As much of a dud Mike Pence showed himself to be politically, one thing he was absolutely correct about and got ridiculed for was this type of thing. If you don't approach the line you won't cross the line. Don't be alone with a woman you're not married to if you're a public official and you can't get jammed up.
