Let’s see if Russia is able to gain advantages and move west, or if Ukraine counterattacks successfully.

Why would they do that? They have been building defensive positions for months. Just sit back and let Ukraine deplete the rest of their military in this counteroffensive they're feeling pressured to attempt.
