President: AFU have liberated more than 1,000 sq km of Ukraine’s territory since beginning of September
08.09.2022 23:33

President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his evening address.

In total, more than a thousand square kilometers of our territory have been liberated since September 1. I am grateful to everyone who made it happen! I am grateful to the army, intelligence officers, and special services for every Ukrainian flag that has been hoisted these days.

We listened to the reports of the commanders of operational areas at the meeting today, there are certain decisions. The Staff will continue its work in the format of such fairly frequent meetings, so that our commanders on the ground have full support at all levels and so that the Armed Forces of our country, intelligence and the entire defense and security sector receive all the necessary resources, all the necessary material, political, information, diplomatic and any other means for the effective defense of Ukraine and the expulsion of the occupiers.

All state activity is focused on the needs of the front and protection of our people.

A good start is geolocated pictures and video to verify the locations cross-referenced with FIRMS and weather data to verify the timing. All of which one can duplicate themselves.

There is a bunch of retreaded pics and video that if you follow the sources you get used to seeing over and over. The difference over the last few days is remarkable in that there is a plethora of new pictures and videos that haven't been shown before that geolocate to previously Russian held territory and is also confirmed with recent FIRMS activity in the exact locations.

Nothing about this is 100% but it gives some objective look at the battlefield which beats just going off your biased gut which you are fully comfortable with.

For you, Who is acceptable to hear it from? Do you think the government of Ukraine is lying about it? That’s a serious question…

A very reliable means of confirming the Ukrainian gains over the last week is the published writings of known Russian sources. They are writing about it in a panic right now, admitting the fact that the Ukrainians are accomplishing significant and quick gains.

It’s interesting you keep doing this to show Russia will inevitably win, but they’re going to end up ending this war just as big a failure as the finale to GOT.

I don’t see it outside of American boots on the ground.

Unless there is some major escalation by Russia the US won’t put boots on the ground. I talking tactical nukes being deployed by Russia escalation. In that case I think it will be more than just the US.

One more thing, Ukraine appears to be doing pretty well right now. If they can get a couple of big battlefield victories and consolidate their gains. They probably won’t need anything more than what we are already providing.

I would like to hear a conversation begin whereby Ukraine talks about what we are going to get in return for our very generous aid.

We just gave them another 2 billion dollars today. Again, Zelensky better not attend the Queen’s funeral.

To put it lightly, yes, but he’s begging for 100 billion to rebuild his country.

Guess which language these women are speaking as they tearfully thank and embrace their liberators.
Russian.
Not Ukrainian, Russian.
Like most inhabitants of Kharkiv Oblast, they are Russian-speakers. Who want NOTHING to do with Russia. Ever again.

Just more evidence that "ethnic Russians" in Ukraine or Russian speaking Ukrainians do not want to be Russian.

I bet you wear a helmet just walking in the grocery store thinking the roof could cave in. Is it enjoyable thinking of the worst situation of any issue?

Video of LNR troops yelling at an officer

https://twitter.com/ChuckPfarrer/status/1568051711071117312
quote:

MORALE IS A FACTOR: “Soldiers” of the puppet Luhansk People’s Republic confront an officer about the conditions of their service and complaints that “officers loot everything”. Count on it: such troops will not stand and fight. Putin’s allies will soon scatter to the wind.

quote:

Very chaotic conversation, but we could hear some interesting things. "LNR" soldiers are not satisfied that:
- they fight for 7 months without rotation;
- officership loot everything.

Crazy video (to me) from the point of view of someone on the receiving end of an artillery barrage of either Thermite or Phosphorus. It's surreal

The officer walks away on the phone:

Holy heck. Can you imagine being an Ivan from some podunk town in the far reaches of the empire, signing up just to make a few rubbles, and being sent into that?

I've seen 120mm mortar visible and IR illumination rounds and they are wild looking but raining white phosphorous fire from the sky must be absolutely horrifying. That said it would look incredible if you set aside the whole war crimes issue.

I have seen several posts about this with people disputing that it's him. Read with that in mind. That said Chuck Pfarrer has been a solid source.

https://twitter.com/ChuckPfarrer/status/1568035564452024321
quote:

TAKEN: Yesterday, videos featured a RU officer captured on the Kharkiv front. He was assumed to be a local commander-- he was, in fact, Lieutenant General Andrei Sychevoi, General in command RU’s “West” Group. Sychevoi is the most senior Russian officer captured since WW II.

quote:

NOTE: The capture of any flag officer is unusual. The capture of a Lieutenant General, on the field of battle, is almost unprecedented. This shows how deeply, and how rapidly, UKR forces penetrated Russian defenses. It is likely this momentum will continue on the Kharkiv axis.

In the picture on the right you can see at least 2 stars on his shoulder

You are nothing more than an extreme Chicken Little. Oh, Europe will suffer but they will have a heck of a lot more than they did from 1946 and for several years.
